I'm currently using them attached to the rear of my helmet (pics attached) and they are working great. I've been doing a lot of swapping between bikes lately, and after losing one of my coveted long-time used, quite pricey taillights to a big bounce and a loose saddle-bag strap, I've decided this helmet route would be good to try out. So far so good. These things are bright, simply and solidly built. The straps have a good stretch and grip to them so I can put them everywhere without too much worry that they will move or fall off. Aside from eventual seal problems after long-time usage, I don't see much that could go wrong with them. I've taken them on a long sweaty ride, some short wet ones and a bunch of commutes in the nice weather we've been given in Cleveland so far this October, and I feel confident in them. For the price, versatility and brightness I would highly recommend them to anyone, either as an addition to an existing bike light, or when using multiples as a solid rear light replacement.
7 Months in and these are just like new! I've ridden through heavy snow and rain without any problems, and just replaced my 4th set of batteries. This includes commuting 5-6 miles 5 days a week plus 40-60 miles per weekend average training and commuting riding. I am buying a second set to keep on another helmet so I don't have to worry about transferring them around. They're beyond great for the $11 I paid.
To use it, just press the light until it clicks to cycle through the three settings. But I don't recommend this product, maybe find a bike light with an off switch.

Mine actually got stolen a few weeks after I purchased it, but luckiIy I have another (same issues), guess someone really likes it! They are pretty bright. Comes with batteries.
One thing that is not quite apparent is that these are slightly angled to account for the angle of seat tube/post, forks, etc. This was a good thing for me as the light is perfectly level when mounted on my seat tube. This might be a disadvantage if you plan on mounting these vertically such that the straps are going up/down. The angle is not so severe that it can't be used like this, but it's clear that it was designed to use the straps are going left/right.
The band material is flexible so it should accommodate any sized tubing. It's also grippy, it hasn't shifted even when riding single track, it definitely won't move around on the road. I've lost countless AAA powered rear lights going over bumps, this one is so light and fits so snug on the bike, it will stay in place.
Operation is super easy and convenient enough to operate while riding. I tend to turn mine off on trails to conserve battery.
