Fast forward five years and the two meet again and immediately hook up for sexy times that are delicious, only for Eric to meet the indomitable Tyler when he arrives home early. Poor Eric is stunned beyond belief to discover that not only does Tyler know about him, but that he approved the encounter when Connor called him, and that Tyler is not just Connor’s hubby, but his Dom, as well.
Totally new dynamic entered, and here things just move from hot to sizzling! Eric has a not-so-easy time adjusting to this dynamic, but he’s inexorably drawn to Connor like a moth to a flame, and having Tyler’s not just willingness but encouragement to join the fray makes the trio an inevitability. Connor isn’t your typical sub, however. He’s a very toppy bottom - a dominant sub - and he knows just how to work Eric to his way of thinking!
The plot is great - erotica at its best mixed with psychological and emotional adjustments. The learning curve for Eric is incredibly fun to watch! The pacing is on point, never feeling bogged down in any spot, and the peripheral characters are redolent with richness. This is another draw-you-in-and-hold-you-there-until-you-finish-it book. Filled with realistic situations, emoting all over the place (both the characters and the reader!), and insanely hot sexy times, Sub-Dominant is a five-star stellar read!
Connor is not happy that his father is putting a tether on him, he is being ripped from his boyfriend and everything he is used too, but is it for his own good in the end?
Eric is in charge of Connor, he is there to help him adjust to a completely different way of life. Eric finds Connor very attractive, a fact that could cause complications, more than once :P. Eric learns of Connor's past and the fact that he could have been manipulated by the boyfriend who professed to care for him, and after a misunderstanding Connor takes off.
Five years pass and when Eric runs into Connor again, these two have so much chemistry, but Eric doesn't see himself as a dom, and Connor needs to be dominated, this is where Tyler comes in!
I love Tyler, and he proves that he is just what is needed to complete Eric and Connor! This coupling won't be without it's bumps in the road, but they will all be worth it in the end!
Grab this one guys, in addition to being a wonderful book, it is a HOT one! The sex is off the charts, and you will love it as much as I do! Thanks Sage, for another winner in your long line of fabulous books! I received this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

This is book 4 in Sage Marlowe’s Sub-Mission series. As there is quite a gap in publishing between book 3 and Sub-Dominant I went back and re-read the series as soon as I saw this one was due for release. Although not totally necessary to the story I do believe I made the right decision – this is Eric, Connor and Tyler’s story but it also gives us a look into the lives of the characters that came before and how their lives and stories are intertwined.
Connor appealed to me straight away. He is a bratty teenager from a broken marriage who is generally ignored by his mother, the parent he lives with in the States, and is left to do what he wants. As a teenager he doesn’t always make the best decisions and his latest one, taking up with a man much older than he is along with a few other dubious choices, sees his father charging in and dragging him back to the UK to save him from himself. Connor is left angry and lost at his father’s actions, he believed this older man was in love with him whereas his father believed he had been abused.
Connor’s father may have rescued him but he doesn’t have time for the general nitty gritty of life. This is where Eric comes in when he is hired to effectively babysit Connor and help him settle into his new life. For Eric the very thought of trailing around after a spoiled brat gives him hives so he is not at all prepared for the reaction he has when he meets the young man. He remains ever professional, mostly, but he is not blind and can’t help appreciating the beauty before him. When he lets his professional mask slip and things become tricky Connor runs and that is that….
Jump forward five years and a lot of things have changed but when Connor and Eric bump into each other that same electricity between them is evident. Connor is certainly no longer a gangly teenager and in the space of a couple of hours has manipulated Eric into going home with him whilst not being totally honest. I did wonder how Tyler would get written into the story and I certainly never saw that one coming! We have met Tyler before in an earlier book, he is a Dom who certainly knows how to manage Connor, he also seems willing to give him anything he desires and at the moment he desires Eric.
Connor is the piece in the middle that holds everything together but for a menage to have any chance all three people must be invested. There is the additional problem of Connor and Tyler living a BDSM lifestyle, something that Eric knows very little about and has some very clear worries about particularly about what he sees as losing control. There is no overload of drama or angst here but more a story of three men who work to figure out their dynamics, the sex is hot but so is the love and care they give each other.
Great fourth book in the series!
