Out of this world hard sci-fi fantasy. Very well written with a rolling flow. Hard to put down and I need more!

A fun read. It was a bit predictable and the character development seemed to me two dimensional as more stereotypes than real people... But the big picture ideas were fantastic albeit at times a bit over the top... Still I bought the entire series after reading this first book, so I am hopeful. For $3 you can't really go,wrong... $ value here is excellent

I havent been tied to a story since reading Davinci Code when it first came out. One where my anticipation of the next page enraged because because I just couldnt read it faster with my feeble little eyes.

This is an interesting read. In some ways it is frightening as the current political situation might be seen to play out. Obviously set in a future world where AI can control but the struggle between good and evil is not always clear. The book is a complete story without the prank of being serialized. No doubt subsequent books will build on this but it stands in its own right.

Almost perfect hard core sci fi.
David Simpson handles the subject of nanotech and AI beautifully in his action packed stories about a universe bordering on the Singularity, while believably avoiding the cul-de-sac of the latter.
If you have tired of AC Clarke's pointless RAMA-stories and the lack of futuretech in many other sci-fi works (including Vinge's) or the tedious invented-future-lingo of Neal Stephenson (in Anathem) this is it for you. Nanobots, AI and a lot of exciting applications of these permeate Simpsons wonderfully imaginative and multifaceted stories. He keeps you (not to mention the lead characters) guessing who really is good or bad.
There are enough scene changes, various tech descriptions and turns of the story to fill several books but Simpson couldn't care less. He seems certain his imagination will be enough to just keep writing. I just wish he would clone himself in order to produce more books, faster.

I loved these books. Loved them so much that I couldn't stop reading until I had read all three in the seriies in ONE day. I only wish there more books in the series. I would love to find out more about what happens with these people next . Another sleepless night reading more would be worth it.
At first glance these books are just great science fiction but on further thought, they are filled with questions that humanity has faced, will face or might face. Questions that will leave you thinking.

Finally new SF that cleverly joins the present and future. Really liked the plot line and somewhat complicated but not convoluted turns.
