GUILLERMO M. YEATTS was born in Buenos Aires; holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Masters Degree in Economics from New York University. He also completed the multi-year OPM course at the Graduate School of Business, Harvard University.

Yeatts is presently Chairman of D’Ordal Investments. Prior to that, he was Chairman of Sol Petróleo S.A. (a refining and marketing oil company); Chairman of Diamond Shamrock Boliviana S.A. in Santa Cruz, Bolivia (exploration and production of gas and oil); Chairman of Cadesa S.A. in Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego (drilling contractor) and Chairman of Joss S.A., Buenos Aires (transport of oil products). He was also chairman of Massey Ferguson Argentina (agricultural machinery) and worked in managerial positions in Ford Motor Company (Dearborn and Buenos Aires) and Citibank, New York.

Mr. Yeatts is Chairman of Fundación Atlas 1853, Buenos Aires; Ex-Board Member of Institute Energy Research, Houston, Texas; Ex-Board Member of FEE (Foundation for Economic Education), Irvington-on-Hudson, New York; Ex-Chairman of Junior Achievement Argentina, Buenos Aires; Co-Founder and ex Chairman of ESEADE (graduate business school) Buenos Aires and Member of The Mont Pelerin Society, Switzerland.

Author of nine books – 3 regarding property rights of the oil and gas industry: “El Robo del Subsuelo”, 1996, and “Subsurface Wealth”, 1993; 5 regarding the causes of poverty in Argentina and Latin America : “Raices de Pobreza”, 2000; “Las Perversas Reglas de juego en America Latina”, 2003 and “Roots of Poverty in Latin America”, 2005. “El Botin, La Argentina Saqueada” , 2008 and Plunder in Latin America, 2010

He received the Sir Anthony Fisher Memorial Award ,Washington D.C. in 1998, for his book “El Robo del Subsuelo”. He has published many articles in leading argentine and South American newspapers together with appearances in local TV programs
