Paul Evans comes from the school of self-responsibility. We, alone, are responsible for the success and results we want.
Using wit, conversations, stories and talks he has had with himself, the author covers a wide range of issues any one of which could be the reason we are stuck. I particular liked that each section was a short and easy read. This makes the book the type of book you can pick up and put down multiple times without fear you might be missing something by not reading it completely before reading something else.
So if you need a little boost (or kick in the pants) every now again, I would offer you this book as a great tool for you to use.
appreciated his transparency in his writing as he shares his life
I had actually downloaded this book for free on Kindle when Paul
was offering it that way for a few days. But I liked it so much
that I bought the paperback version so I’d have a hard copy to
carry around with me.
I like to keep things simple and that’s what this book does nicely.
It’s straight to the point with no fluff in between and no punches
pulled. It’s not a how-to or step-by-step success course. We already
know we just need to get started and do something. This book helps
to keep you encouraged along the way as you take action and start
I like being able to open the book to a specific section that I may
be struggling with for a quick bit of encouragement or honest
assessment. Paul’s own experiences, both good and not so good are
the foundation for the insights he passes on in this very easy
to read book. You can tell he’s just a regular guy who goes through
the same ups and downs as most of us do, despite his own success
I’ve enjoyed this book much more than many “how-to” or “step-by-step”
books I’ve purchased in the past that left me feeling like their
“plan” or “program” required a level of complexity and investment
of time that seemed over the top. For me, the simpler it is, the more
likely it is I’ll actually do it. Paul’s book is a good reminder and
booster to have around and I highly recommend it.
