It is obvious the author put in an enormous amount of time and effort to produce a truly important and useful work. If you are married, even in a "great" marriage - be it the first, second or whatever the number of times, you can and will profit from reading it. If you are not yet married, it's even more important to read Successful Second MarriagesNOW.
Cheers to Pat Bubash for writing such an uplifting and helpful resource! Pat's authentic, storytelling style drew me in from Page One. I came away with the hope that the Second Time Around can be even Better than the First for couples, if they are willing to make the long-term investment required to ensure marriage success! Here's to the Two Timers Club! Go show 'em!
is a refreshing look at re-marriage. Bubash writes from the personal perspective of seeking to explore and understand how others have achieved what she did not--success in their second marriages. If you are re-married, this book will hit home with either reinforcement of your relationship's strength or clues for improvement and a call-to-action. Either way, readers can expect to benefit from the nine candid interviews this licensed counselor intuitively conducts with successful couples.
Written in a down to earth and honest style, the author and the stories themselves are informative and inspirational. As the research consistently indicates, the most difficult challenge faced by blended families is around each others children.
Ideal for any couple contemplating remarriage or already in a second or even third marriage. While the statistics say that the changes for success are less with each remarriage, these stories and the authors commentary bring hope for the relationship road weary. Reading this book and taking heed of the embedded wisdom will enhance your chances of succeeding the second time around.
The couples share real details about their relationships, what motivates them and how they interact with each other. Men and women express their fears, joys, hopes and dreams for their marriages. The interviews feel real, like you are a part of the conversation. Bubash has put a solid dose of HOPE into a paperback just for you.
I would recommend this book for anyone considering a second marriage or anyone currently in a second marriage.
The author shares inspiring stories of couples that have been successful in starting over with a new partner. Divorce is a major issue in anyone's live; it affects your self-esteem and disrupts the lives of everyone involved. The readjust back to a normal life with a new loving partner is very difficult and most painful.
This book will offer support and encouragement to persons starting over to find a new loving relationship.
