I gave this book two fewer stars, because of another repetitive theme in the story. When either Mason or Emma are in the same room, they track each other’s movements with their peripheral vision. They are attracted to each other, but not really? I suppose it’s to create romantic tension. Both are frequently worried that the other person will show up at the same store/venue/Church as they.
Thankfully, the supporting characters are interesting. The orphan sister, her friend and Mason’s friend to name a few. If you enjoy the main characters liking each other but not really liking each other, then this is the book for you. Otherwise, I would read another Love Inspired Historical from this month.
