Product Description

The top-rated puzzle-solving experience from Puzzazz is now available with TouchWrite technology for the Kindle Touch -- just write with your finger!

You can write small or large numbers, whichever you find easier. If you write small numbers (about the size of a puzzle cell), the number will go into the cell that you write in. If you write large numbers, the number will go into the cell that you start writing in.

Like all Puzzazz titles, this book features hand-built, carefully crafted puzzles -- some of the best Sudoku puzzles you'll find anywhere.

No matter which Kindle you use, this Unbound puzzle collection gives you a great solving experience right on the page. Of course, you can use in-cell notes as you solve, just like you do on paper. If you're stuck, move on to a different puzzle -- you can always turn back to that page later. Or, get a hint and keep going.

You'll be both challenged and delighted with by this book of elegant puzzles that fit your personal skill level, because you can change from easy to medium to hard or back at any time. Whatever your skill and solving style, you'll appreciate the calibrated difficulty of the puzzles.

Enjoy!

I got this one before reading the review from dumbo, and I have to disagree with it.

Although the Notes behavior is changed, it hasn't changed so much as to degrade the quality of the book. The only difference is that you now have to click your selection twice each time you intend to make a Note, rather than having the selection default to a Note if one is already present. If that's too confusing or difficult, you still have the option (through the Settings panel) to change the default behavior to enter Notes; in this case double-clicking would enter the solution. Not all that hard, really.

The puzzles are as fresh and interesting as the others in the series, and this book includes several new solving features - the display now changes to show when you've got nine of a given number in the grid, and there is a function to show all cells that display a given number. You still have the option of selecting a level for the puzzles, and there is a new "Beginner" level added making them even more approachable.

I'm ranking this one at four stars only because I generally prefer the Wordoku variant. I have some trouble equating the letters on my keypad with the numbers required for the puzzle; I'm continually referring to the keymap provided on the page. But even that wouldn't stop me from recommending this book to anyone who enjoys Sudoku and owns a Kindle.

Sudoku Unbound #3 is excellent. The puzzles are great, but what really impresses me is that I'm using it on my Kindle Touch and I enter the numbers by "writing" them with my fingertip right on the screen. The program reads my handwriting much better than most humans do. On the very rare occasions that it misreads an entry, changing it is simple. I'm already looking forward to Sudoku Unbound #4.

After making a search on line for " Sudoku for Kindle Paperwhite" , this item came up. To my surprise when I attempted to download it on the Paperwhite, I was advised that this cannot be used on the Paperwhite. I had to call Amazon, explain this and request a refund on my purchase. The attendant confirmed that "it was showing that this game was not compatible". Why isn't this information available for the client? I have some of this series on my Kindle Keyboard and they work fine.

I was very pleased when I checked games content to see that Puzzazz had released another edition of Sudoku Unbound. One reviewer mentioned that he thought this set more difficult than the previous ones. It also seems that way to me. If so, I am pleased because I enjoy a good challenge.

I never got the Sudoku Works - I enjoyed the Sudoku Unbound #3 very much and was really wanting some other puzzles since I had done all of them. I am in a mess with my Kindle. My son set it up for me, and doesn't remember the password he used. I can't buy anything else. If you have a solution for me (I am not too savvy on these things) please let me know. My email [...] My last name is now Harper - got married recently. Thank you. Elaine Harper

I get a kick out of this book's puzzles. I do one almost every day... while I am on the pot. It does seem to reveal to me more abstract reasoning capabilities. So- that is very interesting. I finish all & just start over. kind'a like a spiritual book - that you can re-read many times & get a new insight every time! Yaaaahooooo.....

I love that Puzzazz listens to their shoppers! I couldn't buy it because it didn't work on the Kindle TOUCH and wrote them and now it does, and I bought it right away (and trying to pace myself for it to last!) because Sudoku Unbound #3 is awesome fun!

The Kindle Touch works great with this game. You got the option to either put notes in your squares or permanent solve a number in it. Simply touch the box you want to put a number in and up pops the 1 through 9 in a small square (not the keyboard) and you touch what number you want it in. To go to another game, just swipe your finger over it (to the left) and it goes to the next game to solve. Puzzazz has got it easy and fun to play! They get 5 stars plus for how they did this for the Kindle Touch!

I'd love to see them do this for their other games of word search and too their other Sudoku Unbound #2 and #1. Any games this publisher Puzzazz puts out, has me as a customer for sure! So Puzzazz, would love if you could make these games of yours to work with the Kindle TOUCH as well. Thanks!

I am "reading" it at Kindle Touch - the hand writing recognition is great and I do seldom use the notes option.
I am still in the beginners section though.
Four stars just because I am missing an option to clear an entire puzzle at once - so that some one else (e.g. my wife) can play this too or I can start it fresh from an empty board. Tapping at every field and clearing this is very time consuming and no really useful.
May be I missed some menu option - any hint would be helpful.
I recommend this game.
