If you're like me, you do a bunch of baking using recipes calling for superfine or baker's sugar, and you live some place where you absolutely cannot buy it locally. In my desperation, I've ordered direct from C&H and paid shipping rates that I'd be embarrassed to admit to. Prime Pantry is the absolute perfect solution for this problem, with ground shipping of as many cartons as you can cram into a giant box for $6. This is far and away the best online deal I've ever found for this product.

The product itself is a dream to bake with, and makes the most fluffy and mouth-melting creamed butter I've ever worked with. For recipes which benefit from baker's sugar (like cakes), the difference is clear. I wouldn't bother with it for normal recipes, though.

In my experience, these cartons tend to arrive with their contents between "somewhat lumpy" and "a box full of rocks." Fortunately, I've found that it is very easy to restore the sugar to its fine-grained glory by pouring it through a fine metal strainer, and pushing through whatever lumps remain (which may be most of the carton on some of them). The clumps break up quickly, readily turning to powder between my fingers, and it takes me about two minutes to do an entire carton.

After straining, I store the sugar in an OXO Pop container with a desiccant packet taped on the inside of the lid. I live in a dry climate, so your results may vary, but it never clumps up on me with this storage method.

Bakers Sugar: It's difficult to find in the stores where I live. So glad I was able to get it at Amazon. Used it for my Christmas baking. What a difference! My pound cake turned out absolutely great. I love this product and will order more. Thanks for having it available at such a decent price, too.

I use this sugar to make iced tea. The granuals are tiny & dissolve quickly. Also, it's one of the few sugars on the market that specifies CANE sugar. Check it out - many just don't say CANE SUGAR anymore & I wonder what they are. I'll stick with this sugar from here on out.

I never used Baker's Sugar before and I love it! The crystals are so fine! It tastes so good! (Although, there is one thing: I found out that you shouldn't use it unless the recipe calls for it, because it didn't taste good in sugar cookies)

Its bakers sugar that Ive used in cake, cookies and pies. Its refined but not sure exactly how much of a difference it makes. It does come in a "milk carton" like container that I like much better than the cheap paper bags that sugar normally comes in.

Usually sugar comes in the bags, I love how I can store this container with other items in my pantry and grab it easily. I really like how it pours easily and dissolves quickly.

Warning: Don't buy if you live in a hot, humid climate. I live in south Florida and within days, these boxes of sugar were rock-hard blocks. I keep them in the refrigerator now, but they're basically impossible to use. I'm thinking I will just make a gargantuan batch of sweet tea or lemonade with them, so I can melt the whole block down at once -- if not, it could come in handy as a weapon should I ever need to hit someone with a brick.

It is very hard to find Baker's sugar where I live, so I was happy to find it on Amazon. It has a finer texture, which makes it perfect for making drinks and cooking.
