Ashlyn’s friend has just been killed, and the guys that took him out are now looking for her. She makes plans to hide out with her witch friend, Astrid, who vows to keep her safe. Things take an interesting turn when Feyd and Fallon learn that Ashlyn is their hit, and there’s no way they will be finishing that job. Now, they’ll move in with Ash and Astrid to help keep her safe and hidden from the ones who hired them.
We’re meet a TON of characters, including Cash – a royal demon who is planning to take back the throne and is gathering allies along the way. I’m not even going to try and summarize everything that happens and all of the twists and turns we run into, but everyone’s paths are about to cross in some way or another.
Sugar and Sin is a great introduction to this fantasy world, and while a lot happens and we are introduced to a somewhat overwhelming amount of people, I loved this world and everyone in it. It’s laugh-out-loud funny, scorching HOT, and action packed that starts at the beginning and never lets up. I was left with quite a few questions, but I will gladly be reading the rest of the books in the series to learn the answers.
Now, where to begin....... This is not a book that is for the Faint of Heart! If you are a person who can not get past the whole one-on-one thing, then this book is not for you, but if you have more of an open mind, you will find this tale quite fascinating. This story deals with Demons from another dimension (The Eververse), people who have given up their souls to Demons, witches, and Succubai........ these are not creatures that you can hold ANY type of so-called 'normal' behavior too.
There is a lot going on and sometimes can get confusing, for example you have two main character's with nick-names that are too similar, in my opinion, that I found myself having to stop and think, Who is Who?BUT.......
The story-line is interesting and the character's are both scary and fascinating with some of their back-grounds being so Horrifying, that you can not help but Feel for them. It is an extremely fast-paced read...... Almost like being on a major Roller-Coaster ride or a soon to be Train Wreck! At least, that is how I felt while reading it, and I do not mean this in a Bad way at all.
The Author's provide Intrigue, Plot's within Plot's, Interesting character's with detailed backgrounds, and more Sex than even I could have imagine when first trying this book out! All consenting and , seems to me, All Having a Grande Ole Time..... ;)
This was not an easy book to review, because there is so much going on and it is done to set you up for the rest of the series, that it is hard to really elaborate without telling you the whole story. I can tell you that you get Happy Endings and you get set-up to follow another character's story, which I for one will be very happy to read.
I will also point out, that it is not going to be a book for everyone, if you are a person who likes Standard one-on-one sex and can not handle different or multiple partner's then, this story will not work for you.
As for me, I enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from 'TEAM PRICE'! Happy Reading All......
Stella and Audra take fiction and spin it into fantastic fantasies that tease the reader's imagination. For all the readers looking for a book with both substance and action, this author team delivers that and much, much more!
When other authors are handing out the same old "Happily-Ever-After" stories, Stella and Audra Price hand out tales of dark fantasy with very bad boys, twisted and resourceful girls, and all the naughty games they play together. These authors don't do mundane. This is a deeper level of Fantasy Romance, one that readers have been waiting for.
Sugar and Sin is an amazingly complete and engaging introduction to Stella and Audra's fictional world called "The Eververse". The characters are dark, seductive, and just good enough to become addictive. Readers will devour this book and come back wanting more.
And that's the thing about this author team. They always deliver. And every story is as good as, if not better than the last. So buy this book, dive in, and come up with an obsession for bad boys!
