Product Description

Sugru Moldable Glue is the world’s first multi-purpose, multi-surface moldable glue, specifically designed to bond permanently to almost anything including ceramics, metal, glass, wood, plaster, stone, brick, rubber, most plastics and fabrics and even flexible materials. Sugru is resistant to water and high temperatures.
Out of the pack, Sugru feels soft and pliable like play-dough. Stick it where you need it, and mold it by hand into any shape. From an ultra-thin, flexible patch to a robust wall hook, you have 30 minutes to shape it, smooth it and reposition as required. After application, this all-round putty hardens to a tough, shock-resistant silicone rubber within 12-24 hours (depending on the layer thickness).

Its innovative formula means Sugru has hundreds of applications:
✔ Mount household fixtures without drilling
✔ Re-attach, replace or rebuild broken parts
✔ Use it as a sealant and to patch up cracks
✔ Fix and reinforce cords and cables, such as mobile phone chargers (up to 24 volts)
✔ Patch shoes and clothes
✔ Create custom grips for equipment and tools
✔ Use it for arts and crafts
✔ And many other projects - thanks to its unique properties, Sugru is more versatile than epoxy putty and super glue

Recommendation: for all those looking for a versatile and simple adhesive solution.

All that I dreamed of! The ultimate DIY fixer!

All that I dreamed of! The ultimate DIY fixer!
I had been thinking about getting some Sugru for a long time and finally bit the bullet. These are small packets, but I was able to use just ONE of them for five small projects! The main thing was making an enhanced stress reliever for the jack of my earbuds (worked great), but i also repaired an ipod cable and a lightning cable, covered the ends of a couple battery terminals on a circuit board, and finally i put some inside the head of a knob on a mixer that had fallen off and stuck it back on for a permanent fit. All were successful! I love sugru. My one piece of advice is the longer you are messing around with the stuff the more tacky your fingers get, and that makes it difficult to manipulate it as well. For use in multiple projects I found it necessary to take a quick break and clean the excess off my fingers, then i went back to it.

Bear with me on this story. About six years ago I bought a pair of women's leather oxfords called Clarity by Naturalizer. About 3 years ago, as the heels worn down, the man-made molded soles started to crack and expose the hollow insides. Grrrrr! I wasn't about to throw them away. I found a YouTube video about some guy making his own custom arch supports. He used 100% clear silicone caulk and a couple of drops of glycerin. The glycerin cures the silicone so the middle of it gets hard, too. Works like a charm. So I got the idea of pumping the heels of my shoe full of that stuff to help stabilize the sole. That worked great, but it didn't fix the visible, gaping cracks in the soles. I tried all kinds of glue and they didn't work. Over a year ago I bought some Sugru to fix my expensive Bose headphone cables that were getting quite a bit of wear and the wires were peaking through. It worked perfectly and over a year later there is is no sign of cracking or peeling. I thought maybe it would work for my shoe soles. I bought some more and troweled in into the cracks, smoothed it out as best as I could and let it cure for a couple of days. It was sorta like patching drywall. OMG! It worked. With all the force of my body pounding on hard surfaces while walking, it's holding up perfectly. And now that it has a few scuff marks on it like the rest of the sole, you can't even tell I had done any patching. This stuff is pure magic. I only gave it 4 stars for ease of use because it's quite sticky to work with. Also, only 4 stars for pricing. For such a little bit, it's not cheap and it does have a shelf life. Use it soon after you buy it. Thank you, Sugru, for saving my shoes.

I bought this to fix my boyfriend's headphones, but I ended up fixing a bunch of stuff and I still have a pack left. It's wonderfully pliable, and sticky, but not too sticky. I prefer it to instamorph for sure( I can never get instamorph to stick to anything, including itself, for very long, and when I do get it where I want it I've typically burned myself in the process.) sugru seems to be a more rugged practical material. It's very pliable, and sticky without being difficult to work with. I purchased it initially to repair some headphones which went incredibly well, then I used it to reinforce parts of a charger cord, made it possible to hang my hairbrush from a hook, and fixed two eye droppers with wonky seals. Not all of my repairs were successful- my attempt to stick the insoles of my boots down with sugru was a failure, as was my attempt to fix a broken command hook, but the things that were fixed successfully were so great that I'm giving it 5 stars. A few tips: sugru tends to irk its way in between the grooves on the skin of your fingers, so either use barrier cream or be willing to scrub your hands afterwards. Also, sugru is so soft before it cures that it can't bear weight before it dries. I suggest keeping parts in place by supporting them with armature wire.

When cured it is low in tensile strength, but it seems to adhere well to things that other adhesives won't. When I saw a description of the material I immediately thought of an automotive problem: The gasket on the glass moon roof of my 1998 Nissan Pathfinder had shrunk, leaving about a 3/8" gap into which water would pour during heavy rain. The gasket is made of neoprene rubber, and even the best duct tape will not stick to it. Sugru seems to have bonded well with both neoprene and glass, and I am pleased to report that I had no significant flooding in my SUV after today's rainstorms.

The idea of an air-curing silicone that doesn't have volatile non-polar solvents or ammonia intrigues me. My only negatives so far are that the stuff has kind of a lumpy texture and doesn't seem to be moldable into a highly precise form, and it's not particularly strong. I think it has a lot of potential for repairing seals, and cushioning moving parts that are prone to colliding. It's rather pricey, and once you open a container you have to use it all at once. Planning is essential.

Congratulations on the inventors for creating a truly novel material! I suggest marketing it for automotive purposes, as there are a lot of rubbery seals on motor vehicles.

Thanks for the opportunity to try something new.

Sugru is awesome stuff. I've used it on a variety of projects but mostly on my Jeep. There are tons of things you can do with Sugru on a Jeep. For example, I replace the huge windshield bumpstops on my hood with small, perfectly formed plugs I made using Sugru. They look factory installed and MASSIVELY increase the awesome aerodynamics of the Jeep (ok, that last part was a joke -- a Jeep has the aerodynamic equivalence of a brick).

One thing you must be aware of with Sugru. It has an expiration date. If the product you order is already expired, you must send it back to the seller immediately because I can guarantee it won't be any good when you go to use it. It will just crumble in your hands. Sugru comes out a little sticky and will leave a residue on your hands when you're molding it to whatever you want to fix or enhance. Just use paper towels and some Dawn dishwashing detergent and that will take it off your hands. The end result of your work will soon "set" and the moldable Play-doh material will become a semi-hardened rubber. It will still have some pliability but if you want to change how it looks, you'll either need to cut it with a knife or start over.

5.0 out of 5 stars incroyable !

I resurrected a dead bong and fixed a broken pair of headphones, this stuff is fantastic, you don't get a lot but you won't find anything else quite like it, it's easy to mold like playdough and is very resistant to wear, heat and could probably be easily scraped or removed if desired. I always want to have a pack of this around just incase anything breaks, I can think of a million uses. Would highly recommend as a gift, you don't even have to be a handyman to appreciate it but just in that how simple and amazing it is it really does make every day repairs way easier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Colla sotto forma di pasta modellabile
Reviewed in Italy on June 7, 2019

5.0 out of 5 stars Clever, flexible product, with myriad uses
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 19, 2018
This is a very clever product.

I have used the white version to fix a fractured wooden window frame. The window was so damaged that it kept falling past its catch, but the Sugru, applied quickly and easily, set within 24 hours and the window has been solidly behind its catch ever since.

I have also just used the black version to fix a fractured shower screen runner track. The wheel the door hangs on was getting stuck and making a loud clanking noise every time we pulled the shower screen open or closed. This was because the track the wheel runs on had somehow shattered, leaving a fractured hole into which the wheel noisily sank every time the door was used. A bit of Sugru in the hole and within 24 hours the wheel was able to move along the track smoothly again, without any noise or annoyance.

For the price and flexibility of use, this is one of the cleverest products I have come across. Highly recommended
