Once again a story full of twists and turns, good guys/gals and bad guys/gals, suspense, deception galore, death at every turn, hatred, evilness to the extreme, dedication, sacrifice and love beyond life itself.
The story involved vampires, shifters, gods and humans. A vampire serial killer was back and turning humans into vampires in most disgusting ways. I truly understand Dana's hatred of vampires! Nissa was the devil incarnate! I did not like her right from the start. Even to the end she proved she was a revolting creature.
I really liked Chief Charmaine as she was such a backup most of the time for Dana and The Hunter Club.
Brianna was Dana's conscience and was there emotionally for Dana at her dark times, even if Dana never appreciated it.
Cesar was a prick, not sure if I can use that word. The OPA took over the Hunter Club which was extremely disappointing. Dana was under his thumb until the very last chapter.
Penny and Dana's lives went through hell and back! Their love was put through a ringer and Dana never gave up. The ending was beautiful, but I believe the door was left open for possibly more of my heroine Dana McIntyre!
Thank you SM Reine for an enjoyable, intense, not stop action, heartbreaking and love inspired series!

Who or what is now stalking the streets of Vegas making life miserable for just about everyone? A serial killer vampire, why and who? Will Dana find out the identity and put an end to this? with or without the OPA’s help? Will Dana end up working for the OPA or the LVPD and what’s going on with the Hunting Club?
I am glad that we got to get some glimpses of Cèsar Hawke in this series, but I miss the Cèsar Hawke that we knew and loved from the Preternatural Affairs series. He seems a little too “corporate” for my liking in this series and I would love to know what happened along the way that changed him. When I saw where the ending was heading, I had a feeling that there would be a special guest visitor from one of Ms. Reine’s other series, but it was not the visitor that I thought it would be!
Lots of twists come at you fast in this book. There was definitely a happy ending (but not for all!) If you have not read this series, you should start with book one and read straight through book 4. If you love paranormal romance, or you love SM Reine, you will not regret it!
Dana is wonderful. Her love of her wife shines through all even when they are arguing, which is most of the time. It makes the relationship seem more real.
I'm live the fact that each book is action packed and this is not really a romantic theme, but still has the relationship in it.
Make sure you read the books in order. The character development and storyline gets better each time.
