Great product when you don’t want stitches to show

I sew a lot of Girl Scout badges & patches on the uniform vests. I use this handy clear thread so that my stitches don’t show & the thread just blends into any color of fabric perfectly. It is a little tricky threading a needle as it’s hard to see.

My sewing machine kept breaking the thread. After a few hours of not Heavenly thoughts, I finally realized I had to put it on my giant thread spool holder. The thread is so light it catches on anything as it spirals off the spool so make sure it doesn't catch on something.. Set your tension at 0 also. Do not try an machine lock in the stitch, just sew.
It look lovely on my quilt. I am impressed at how nice it looks.

I did not buy this thread to use with a sewing machine. I bought it because I needed invisible thread for a green screen effect. It is much finer than fishing line, so it doesn't reflect light well. I had to double up the thread in order to make it strong enough to lift a small desk lamp, which it did. The biggest problem with this thread was it was difficult to find the end. There were two ends to start, and I ended up with a small mess when they began to tangle. I cut the tangle before things grew out of control and made myself one end. That end will eventually lead to the cut, but it's fine so far.

Thin & clear but coils up

I used this product to handsew a tulle tear. The thread is as thin and clear as I hoped, but it still behaves more like fishing line than regular thread so it was difficult to work with for my purpose. You can see in my photo how it coils. The thread is invisible, but the tear is still visible because the edges of the tulle overlap - it's not the thread's fault. I think it was still a good product for the job. One little benefit is it's very easy to thread the needle because there is no fraying.

I almost came to give a poor review about this thread like a lot of other people. BUT! This thread is very, very good. Note that it is a specialty thread. Most special thread takes knowledge and experience to use. Let me say that this thread is extremely strong once a seam is sewn. It is really thin like a hair, it can't take much thread tension or bobbin tension. The hard part is finding the sweet spot with the machine you are using. I am new to special thread and I almost gave up using it. You need next to 0 tension or it will break. The thread however melds nice to create a strong seam with little tension. DO THIS!!! before you start your project test stich on separate fabric first. Once you have sewn around five long stitches with no breakage your good.

Not easy to work with.

This was very difficult to get the thread started on the roll. I wasted a good yard just getting the end free and clear to use it. It was really difficult to load into my machine and thread the needle also, both with and without using the auto threading function. Its very pretty when used as a quilting thread, though i'm not sure I'd call it invisible? It shows up as a clear, almost shiny thread.
