Other than the amazing sex, I LOOOOOVED the humor and banter between Delaney and Sebastian. These two were a ton of fun and had me laughing at every turn and sighing blissfully. Cassandra Lawson writes some of the VERY best romantic comedies I have had the pleasure of reading. I love her humor, and the way she writes a witty dialogue and the way she made me fall in absolute LUST and LOVE with her younger heroes and slightly older heroines. I never imagined I would be interested in reading ANY romance featuring a younger man because I never pictured a younger man being mature or all that manly yet, but Miss Lawson created the PERFECT man with Sebastian. He may be only 22 but he was so incredibly sexy, passionate, dominant, fun, charming, and amazingly mature. I couldn't resist him or ANY of the other younger heroes in this series and for that I thank Miss Lawson! She made me cross that invisible line I never expected to cross. And I not only don't regret it, but I am not afraid now to search out romances with younger men and slightly older women.
Sultry At 30 is WONDERFUL, AMAZING, CHARMING, AND SEXY AS HELL! I give this book a DOWN AND DIRTY FIVE SHOOTING STARS! I have hearts in my eyes over this book, and I have no doubt you will too...an ABSOLUTE TREASURE!
From the moment they meet, their banter was playful and funny and so real. I wanted to hang out with them just to listen to them talk to one another. Delaney is obsessed with cake, so I already know we'd make great friends. While trying to convince Sebastian to tell her something over the phone, Delaney offered him some of the cake she brought home. His response, after meeting her just the one time, was epic:
“We both know you already ate that cake,” I told her. “I'd be surprised if it lasted five minutes after you got home.”
“Fine, I ate it,” she confessed.
Conversations like this were frequent and I loved how they were both so honest (& adventurous) with each other. I thought I'd be annoyed by Delaney because she'd seemed so obsessed with spanking in the previous books, but this gave me a more multidimensional view of her - and there was much more to her than that. Delaney just didn't have a filter. No one ever had to worry about whether she was just pretending to like them. Everything about her was real.
As with the first two books, I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. This one was my favorite.
This finishes the 3 part 'Love Without Batteries' series. I have thoroughly enjoyed these three stories about Brooks, Chelsea & Delaney's love life. These are three women who channel their sexy to end up with younger men who do them all very well. I find the Love Without Batteries a funny to add to the quirkiness of these stories as well. The whole story revolves around the women and their vibrators - well vibrators breaking, anyway. They can all be read as standalones, probably, but you get the whole picture by reading them all. Delany's special friend was the funniest of them all, Justin Case. When Sebastian first meets Delaney, he overhears her and the girls talking about Justin. This results in him feeling like he has some competition to get Delaney's attention. There's silliness, romance, sexy times and a little stalking going on in this last installment, adding up to another fun read from Cassandra Lawson.

Again, Delaneys story can be read as a stand alone, but I feel it is always good to meet the characters in previous books...things flow better that way.
Delaney is the last hold out for finding love out of her group. Brook found TY, Chelsea found Luke, and Delaney is still on her own. Being an erotic writer, one would think she would have no problem finding a man. As Delaney and her friends are at their favorite sex toy store, they are overheard by Sebastian, who is helping his sister out by buying goodies for a party she is throwing. As he leaves, he goes to a near by shop to have a snack. In walks Delaney...the new subject of his fantasies. He offers to let her join him at his table ( there are no other seats available) and the sparks fly from there.
I enjoyed this story of Delaney and Sebastian, they were fun and quirky which left you cheering for them to make it.
