5 out of 5 stars
The anthology Sultry Nights: A Limited Edition Romance Collection is one that I absolutely loved reading. I enjoyed every story in this collection. They are addictive as I couldn’t read just one at a time. I would find myself staying up late into the night telling myself that I would just read one more. They are all different lengths however what connects them is the romance that goes on between the main characters. There are friends to lovers stories, love at first sight, and even flings that turn into more. These stories are hot and steamy so be ready to turn on the fan in the room full blast and have an ice cold glass of water ready. There is a definite attraction between these couples and chemistry that is red hot. Read to find out if they all find their happy endings. I like reading anthologies as I get to read stories from many different authors. They all have their own writing styles and that is the way that I find new books to read. I found this group of authors to be wonderful writers who have created amazing characters. I will definitely be looking into the other books they have written. This collection of stories does have some hot and steamy loves scenes and would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.
Quick and dirty by Whitley Cox was amazing. I was taken with Tate right away. He is a billionaire who wants his privacy. So much so that he won't allow his picture to be taken or any personal information to be out there for the world to access. Throughout the story we find out many other things about Tate that make him oh so appealing. Humble is too small a word to describe him. And he definitely knows how to give Parker everything she needs.
Parker is a travel reporter who starts this story with a breakup. She has to do a story on Tate's resort but she arrives all worked up after learning that her now ex boyfriend was cheating on her. She found out at is big new years eve party when she was dismissed half way through. AND he let it know how undesirable she is to the entire room. To prove to herself that she is, she grabs the first man she sees for some quick and dirty sex. She doesn't care who he is as long as she gets what she needs. Tate is more than willing to help with that. It's not until the next day that she finds out he's the owner of the resort and the man she's on interview and spend time with for the next 10 days.
The time they spend together is intense. They agree to a fling but they get to know each other and feelings get in the way. Parker is torn between going back to a life that doesn't do anything for her anymore and taking a chance with Tate. And Tate becomes fiercely protective of Parker especially when her ex shows up.
This was far from a quick read but it was very dirty. Loved it and thanks Ms. Cox
Smooth seduction with flair is what a reader gets with books from Ms. Cox. Getting dumped is never easy and made worse when it is done in public with the new woman sitting on your man’s lap. However, once the sting wears off, it can lead to a whole new adventure and something so much better. Parker is a travel journalist who is kicked to the curb by her boyfriend Xavier after three years. Not one to stay down, she sets off to a remote island resort for her next feature to meet the illustrious billionaire/owner Tate. Tate has worked very hard to maintain his privacy by keeping pictures of himself off of the internet and out of the media. When Parker arrives, she mistakes Tate for a resort employee and implores him to have a clandestine indiscretion and from there the storyline really takes off. The more time she spends with Tate the more Parker grows into learning about herself and her wants and desires. What will happen when her ex comes back into her life? How will Tate react when his privacy is threatened to be blown up all over the mass media? Whitley Cox is one author who uses elements of realism to craft spectacular storylines enhanced by her own travels and filled with steamy scenes. From the beginning the reader is thrown into the story and as the pages turn gets swept away more and more. This is one book you want to curl up and read from cover to cover in one sitting so one click, block out some time and start reading!
I volunteered to read an arc provided by the author prior to the release of the box set and can't wait to dive into the others in this anthology. The thoughts are my own.
