I have a CD in the stereo and a matching Album stored on my I-phone. I played the CD version of Diana Krall's "California Dreaming" cover and then directly compared it to the MP3 version playing through the unit from my phone. I was very impressed. No static, excellent volume range, no engine or ignition whine. The only difference in sound is the difference between a true CD track versus an MP3 file. I stand duly impressed it is as good as it has turned out to be.
I had been planning to buy an aftermarket stereo head unit that had bluetooth and a video screen for Mapquest or Google directions, but no more. I actually prefer the smaller screen of my familiar phone. I plan on buying two more to "upgrade" all of my cars, one of which is a bone stock 1996 Nissan 240SX SE that I didn't want to alter in any way.
I purchased this with Amazon Prime. It was delivered early ( the next day after placing the order).
Knowing what I know now after hearing the fidelity of the sound and how efficiently it functions - I would have gladly paid twice the $16.99. It is a ridiculously good value. If I have problems with it's durability - I'll be back to edit this review.

We also can take hands free phone calls using the same knob. A phone call is announced with a clear voice announcing the phone number and a press of the knob answers or hangs up. Phone cals are clearly heard and a tiny mic picks up your voice clearly for the person your conversing with. Excellent product!
However, I do have some issues with it. My car (Audi) has a power port that is constantly powered (even when the key is off), as such, I had to unplug the transmitter every time I parked at home or else my phone would stay connected to it. Not a big deal, but after about 3 months of doing this daily, it fell apart. The seam where the black part meets the grey part separated, the contacts and springs fell out, and a screw in the top just pulled out of the plastic it was threaded into.
Fortunately I work in IT, so I was able to reassemble it and hold it back together with epoxy, it has been fine ever since. If I was to make a suggestion to the manufacturer, it would be to change the top retention screw to a longer one, and epoxy in a threaded metal sleeve to keep this from happening.
As far as the phone mount goes, it was nice when I had an iphone 7, but when I recently got my iphone XR, I realized that the metal plate you have to put on your phone blocks wireless charging, so you can not use the magnet mount unless you don't care about losing your wireless charging capability.
