About the Author

Bernard Wuellner was chairman of the University of Detroit philosophy department from 1938 to 1943, when he left to teach, write, and edit various publications at Loyola University. He was on the Loyola faculty from 1943 until 1952, and from 1959 until 1962. He also held philosophy teaching positions at Carroll University in Cleveland and Xavier University in Cincinnati. Wuellner wrote six books dealing with philosophy and theology. He died in 1997.

Summary of Scholastic Principles

Format: Hardcover

The way in which English must be used in discussing Scholastic Theology will certainly challenge even the most literate English speakers, not to mention, those with no or only a little knowledge of scholastic terminology. Wuellner is required reading for those who wish study Scholastic Philosophy and Theology.
I highly recommend these additional works for those who want to begin a personal study of Scholastic Theology:

Mortimer Adler's, "Aristotle for Everybody";
"The Pocket Aquinas" edited by Vernon Bourke,
"An Introduction to St. Thomas Aquinas", edited by Anton C. Pegis,
"Thomas Aquinas Dictionary" by Morris Stockhammer
