This is a great basic napper that doesn't take up a ton of space and it easily moved around. It will fit very small infants of about 10 lbs and keep accommodating them as they grow. The vibrating feature is the only drawback to us as it can get a bit loud at times, though I think this is mostly because it vibrates itself a little off kilter and has to be adjusted back into place. The following are pluses in our experience:

* The vibrating feature turns itself off after a while if you pick up the baby and forget to turn it off.
* It's very portable and you can take it with you easily so that you always have someplace to put the baby down for a nap if you're out visiting with friends or relatives.
* It's summer here in Florida and the venting panels do a lot to enable airflow and help keep baby cool.
* The design is gender and decor neutral so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb and you can use it for boys or girls.
* The holster is much like the ones designed for car seat so baby is safely secured in place, even if they are a wiggler.
* The cover comes off easily and can be washed in a standard washing machine.

This is a great little folding napper and would make a great gift.

CONS: the vibrating mechanism quit working in less than one month! I contacted Summer Infant and they are sending me a new vibrating piece but it's been over a week and I still haven't received it. Also, make sure you purchase plenty of batteries because this napper blows through them quickly!

PROS: Both of my babies (twins) loved this napper. It really helped my baby girl with her acid reflux. I place her in the chair for 30 minutes after her feedings and it seems to really make a difference with her spit up and acid reflux.

I loved this chair/sleeper when we received it. It is narrower than most bouncy chairs so fit better in our bed for cosleeping, has a simple yet attractive design, easy to carry from room to room, and seemed to fit my son better than the other chairs and sleepers we have. At 3 months old, my son continues to struggle with sleeping in anything other than his swing, so this portable napper didn't get much use--mostly as a convenient chair to place him in while I cooked or to play with him. A couple weeks ago I noticed some broken plastic pieces on the floor under the chair but couldn't find any broken plastic on the chair, so I figured it came from something else. And then this morning, my husband lightly leaned into the chair to kiss my son goodbye, and the entire chair collapsed. Fortunately my son's tush was the only thing that hit the floor. We flipped the broken chair over and realized that the supporting joints on each leg were plastic. The same plastic I had found a couple weeks ago. My three year old still climbs all over our bouncy chair and that withstands her abuse, yet minimal use on this summer infant napper broke it. Unsafe. Would definitely NOT recommend.

My daughter loved this napper, she used it til she was about 6 months then her dad fell on it and it broke. She loved the vibration aspect, however it eats batteries like no other.
The napper is also low to the ground so it won't easily tip over.
The fabric is breathable and washable.
Has a secure strap and easily portable, the legs fold down.
Sad to see Amazon discontinued this product because I definitely recommend this napper

Its good for its price. It doesn't keep my daughter entertained with mobile or music but she was still able to sit there for 30 min if not longer. My daughter did not care about the vibration. I just took it off.

Update: you can find one at TJ Maxx or any other store around $20 or less. please check other websites before making the final purchase!!

This is the only thing my daughter would sleep in for months instead of her crib. It's simple but cozy. The vibrate feature helped her get to sleep some nights and the incline seemed to help during her colicy nights. I bought two, one for home and another for her care taker's home.

Absolute best infant chair as baby's head is held in a safe, comfortable position. The vibratory did not work and I called the company and they shipped one out right away. Easy to transport and great quality.

I ordered the Summer Infant Resting Up Portable Napper for my daughter who is expecting her first child in December.
We opened and examined the Napper with my daughter-in-law who is a bit of an expert in these items, having bought or borrowed five "nappers" for her son, who suffered from reflux as a newborn and so, was not a happy infant.
Our conclusion was that the Summer Infant Napper was very similar to other nappers, but had two main differences which we felt would make this Resting Up Napper better than the others. First was the vibrating motor feature. I remember putting my daughter in her infant seat, nearly 30 years ago and then putting the seat on top of the spinning clothes drying as the motion seemed to soothe her. My daughter-in-law did the same thing 4years ago. She also tried an infant seat that she could manually rock. Movement definitely seems to soothe an infant and the Summer Napper has that movement built right in. The second difference, to us, is the best feature of all. The Summer Portable Napper is just that: very portable. It folds almost flat and is easy to carry with one hand, while carrying the baby in your other arm. It's very easy to transport from room to room or to and from the car. This Napper would be easy to transport almost anywhere, and it also folds up nicely for storage. Even if my new granddaughter is the perfect baby, I still think the Summer Napper will be used, and if the baby is a bit fussy, I predict the Summer Infant Resting Up Portable Napper will see lots of use. I highly recommend this product, but will report back if any problems occur when it is used " for real."
