From the Author
Writing JAFF stories (Jane Austen Fan Fiction), I am honored to be a part of a much larger community, this time online. JAFF is like your favorite TV series never being cancelled! We all love Austen's writing so much, it'd be wonderful if she was still able to write more stories. So Darcy and Elizabeth are now like the characters of OZ, Alice in Wonderland, like Frankenstein or Dracula. Loved by so many fans, who are always hungry for more!
And the men and women who make up the JAFF community are all-stars! From readers who will message me on Facebook asking why am I not writing the next book to other authors willing to share and help newer authors behind-the-scenes, it's one of the best genre neighborhoods to move into!
In A Summer Shame, the Bennet girls are still trying to determine which community do they belong in? Jane struggles mightily to navigate the soiress of London. Even Kitty, who returns to Hertfordshire, realizes it's not the same anymore. As a military wife, I know how hard it is to start over. I'm facing another "start over" next summer. The loss of familiarity cuts deep to your confidence in many areas, areas you took for granted.
I hope you enjoy A Summer Shame, and I know when you get to the end, you're going to demand the next book, An Autumn Accord. I am working hard to have that one in your hands as soon as possible.
