The PRO Series affordable Metal Frame Pools bring family fun and relaxation to any backyard. This quick assembly pool is up to 80% stronger than other frame pools to withstand rigorous use. Constructed of heavy gauge PVC reinforced with an inner layer of polyester mesh, PRO Series pools provide superior strength. Unlike other frame pools, this pool features the Skimmer Plus filtration system, a full functioning surface skimmer that keeps your pool free from leaves and bugs. The integral cartridge and skimmer basket are easy to remove & clean. Skimmer Plus can accommodate 1" chlorine tablets that can be added in the cartridge to keep your water clean and safe (Chlorine tablets not included). Pro Series frame pools are the ultimate in affordable swimming pools. NOTE: Braces on outside of Rectangular pools add an additional 18.5 in. to each side.
Top Customer Reviews
The actual dimensions of the pool support frame footprint is approximately 12' X 21' which was important to me since I laid a patio block pad to put the pool on. In my case, the supports extended to the very end of the patio so I would have made my patio 12" longer on each side. Ours came with a ladder, but we upgraded to a A-Frame 7200 Above Ground Adjustable Pool Roll-Guard Safety Ladder which makes getting in and out a lot easier and much safer. I looks very nice and matches the pool color. I put carpet padding down on the patio and then the pool so there is a slight cushion and will hopefully protect the liner a little. I think some of the photos of this or similar pools are a little deceiving, showing the water at waste level. The models must be about 8' tall but probably photoshoped. I have 46" of water in mine and it comes up well over my belly button! I am really happy so far with the purchase. All together with the patio I've got about 2K invested, and a nice place to cool off. Just add a couple of floats!
*The U-shaped support legs snap into the frame. As you set up, this is REALLY helpful. They can't pop out during assembly. BIG plus. If you plan to take it down each winter, you definitely want that feature
*Most of the instructions are easy to follow. The ladder and the skimmer were a little more confusing. But the pool was easy.
*The skimmer is on the outside, out of the way. Not inside getting broken by kids or trapping algae. It is the best feature of the pool!
*The light grey color exterior and dark grey frame is nicer in the yard than the blues of other models/brands.
*The mosaic tile blue inside is pretty.
* The ladder is slightly better than with other models (but still just a rickety A-frame)
*Not noticeably tougher than the regular model.
*The skimmer hole is bigger than it should be. The skimmer can slide down and water can leak out over the top gap if the pool is very full. (they changed the skimmer recently but I think they didn't change the cutout)
*Rough coating on the metal frame looks great but makes it really hard to insert the long side poles into the liner. It took 3 people for that step.
*The pool is pretty crooked. It is just assembled cheaply. The liner design is crooked, the seams are crooked, the whole thing stands crooked and you will never get all the wrinkles out of the floor because it isn't straight. (FYI, I have it on a fresh flat concrete slab so it isn't the ground.) Not that it affects the use. It is just annoying. You get what you pay for.
*skimmer basket needs to be weighted down. It pops up and flips over otherwise.
*The lid on the skimmer is fidgety and doesn't attach firmly. (No other pools have a lid because they are inside the pool)
*the pool maintenance kit is abysmal. Don't bother with any of it.
*The U-shaped legs that stick out are made of flat (not round) tube. May not matter to you.
*As you assemble, the corner pieces tend to pop out. As you fill, keep checking them. Also check they aren't pinching the liner.
*As with ANY of these style pools, you must buy a much better pump. But this one's skimmer means you have to find size adapters for the hoses.
*They recently changed the skimmer and pump assembly. The motor is not under the skimmer. It is inside the skimmer and the outlet is now to the side. This means you can't remove the motor when you add a better pump. Still works. But fair warning. I bought a 5" wide skimmer basket to pop inside, took out the top of the motor housing only, and attached a real pump motor between it and the inlet.
*More expensive brands may be less crooked, but even knowing that, I'd still get this cheaper pool. It works the same as other brands. The fact that the support legs attach to the frame is worth it during assembly, especially if you take it down each winter. I LOVE the exterior skimmer. This is the only frame set pool that has that. It is harder to find adapters for the necessary replacement pump, but once found, not an issue.
