To make SunButter, we start with the finest sunflower kernel available. We source ours locally and globally from carefully vetted growers and suppliers that are peanut and tree nut-free.

We crush, oven roast, and slow churn sunflower kernels into tasty, super-healthy SunButter. The entire process, from receiving to packaging, happens under one roof in Fargo, North Dakota. I love this sunflower seed butter. It's very tasty and indulgent. I bought a case before and wasn't sure I'd like it but I flew through the case quickly because it's that good. Spoonable and reasonably low in carbs and none of the heart clogging ingredients like crisco shortening many peanut butters have. Great as a complement to almond butter as a spoonable snack.

I love sunflower seeds. This nut butter is way smoother, creamier, yummier, and 1 more gram of protein than almond butter for same amount. Isn't gritty. Doesn't dry out get hard and nasty. I got tired of trying to find it a jar at a time on Amazon or at Publix so I put out a large amount of EBT to invest in 6 jars at about $7 a jar with a good expiration date. This is one of the few things I can eat with Ritz crackers every day to put something in my stomach and I need to have protein as much as possible for weight gain and vitamin absorption. This stuff is so yummy and very good to take with my RSO for tremors. Love this product! I'm never going back to peanut butter!

Second time, 6 months after first, our jars had the same expiration date as previous order, so we had 3 months before expiring. We did not use all. Ordered again right after expiration date of previous order and have about a year before expiring. I am hoping we will be able to order again and have enough time before expiring again.

2022 expiration date was November 2022. Order received in subscribe and save Dec 2022 is Nov 2023.

Little known fact for sunflower seed butter is its amazing ability to clear out the digestive track. Not only does this taste better than almond, peanut, or whatever is out there this stuff actually is way more nutritious and beneficial that the standard butters you see on the shelf. Research it yourself and figure it out. I did and well never ever go back to peanut butter or almond butter.
