Editorial Reviews

From the Author

"Every expression creates, at once in all the realms. The bloom, the bird song, the kiss, the curse, the motion of stars in space: expression is creation as the universe renews. To be is to express is to create; they are one."

So wrote the Reverend Friend Farmer, the other Father of the New Age, even though he passed away in 2036, almost seventy years before the story takes place. The Farmer coined the phrase "the Great Human Reef", a metaphor for the single, connected humanity in which he believed. He also provided many of the other understandings on which the mindscape of the Age of Mind was built.

Writing the Farmer may have been the most fun in creating The Suncaster; his thoughts were certainly the most inspired. He believes in dimensional realms we don't currently credit - check Ouspensky, Cayce and others for similar ideas - and considers our most important human activity the management of our thoughts. But I think and believe he says these things lightly, in interesting ways.

I hope you enjoy both the story of Keats and Teria as they try to survive in the new Age, and the sometimes strange Farmer insights. I hope you question him and me. I'll try to interpret.

From the Back Cover

This shouldn't be happening.

It's 2104 and a New Age. Inspired technologies are mated with ancient awareness, the planet prospers and humanity has surely advanced.

Steward Keats knows there are no accidents. Once the algorithms are right they are right; nothing goes wrong and nothing can go wrong. 'Accidents' are a product of wrong thinking, and wrong thinking is simply not allowed.

So what's going on? Is the ship about to burn, or is it a false alarm? Should he speak up or just let it happen? One way he'll be dead, the other maybe as good as. Because whatever happens, he will be at fault.

That's how it works when you're father was an Incon and you live in the New Age of Mind.
