Saxophonist Euge Groove has been one of the best-selling contemporary jazz artists of the past decade. "Sunday Morning" delivers his trademark contemporary funk/jazz grooves combined with a melodic sound on a set produced by hit-maker Paul Brown.

We have all of Euge Groove's music, so "Sunday Morning" was a MUST HAVE for us. My husband and I find this a very romantic CD, and I also play it at my office to keep from having a meltdown from the stress of the work day. "As You Like It" and "Sunday Morning" put me in an upbeat happy mood. I love the beat/vibe of "Say My Name" and find myself playing that song over and over and over again. Other favorites, in addition to the ones already listed, are "On Your Knees" and "Get Ready". The lush arrangements of all the instruments on the songs only adds to Euge's passionate saxophone for listening pleasure.

If you have the opportunity to attend a live Euge Groove show, by all means, do. You will find yourself spending almost as much time out of your seat dancing and moving to the music as you do sitting in your seat. We never miss a show when Euge comes to our state.

Without a doubt, this is by far one of Euge's best cuts. I honestly cannot understand why some people argue that this cd is lacking or that it is not "Euge" (no one likes the same old sound again and again and this cd definitely has very unique, distinctively-sounding individual tracks...how can one argue that every song sounds the same?). This cd just shows how multi-talented, creative, and flexible Euge Groove is as an artist; it shows that just when you begin to think that you know what he's going to produce next, he comes at you with something totally mind-blowing that leaves you speechless and really intensely feeling his music in your heart and soul. I have been an avid fan since the release of his first cd, and I have every cd of his to date. Sunday Morning, as I've stated, is by far my favorite, and I am looking forward to hearing what masterpiece he produces next.

Some really great melodies on this new album from one of my faves Euge Groove!

Title track is sublime and the entire recording is outstanding. I will be spending much time with this one. Great sounding disc too, so many cd's sound bad to me, this one sounds like he's in the room.

If you're a fan get it, if you're curious this is a good one to start with!

If you bought this or listened to the snipets looking for another Sneak a Peak, Slam Dunk or Get 'Em Goin' - you probably will be disappointed. If you took Euge's own comments about the CD to heart, then you're in for a refreshingly different 'look' at Euge Groove. It is a bit more mellow and laid back than his prior CD's, but the sax sound is still definitely Euge - no doubt about it. I've only listened to the CD twice, and it's already starting to grow on me. I only went four stars because it is a bit different than the Euge we've all come to expect, but the way I see it - even a hard working artist like Euge deserves a "laid back Sunday Morning".

This CD was just awesome. I come to expect great sounds from Euge Groove. He never disappoints me. Every CD, six, that he has produced are loaded in my vehicle CD player...only his music. You can't go wrong when you decide to purchase any Euge Groove CD.

I love to hear the Sax and especially Euge Groove. He is one of our top 5 smooth Jazz Sax players and considering the huge number of Sax players I like that is really saying something.

I saw him first live at a Guitars and Saxes show in St Louis several years back, and I have been a big fan ever since. On his return engagement.........he made my wife a faithful listener too.

Looking forward to hearing him back in St Louis again real soon! (and I'm getting ready to buy his brand new CD too.

With this record from 2009, Euge Groove cemented once more the reason of his succes. An album filled of vitality, pleasant ballads and contagious lyricism. Appropriate for you in those tense moments, as well for those special moments.

To my view one of the three best smooth jaz albums of that year and an inspired artistic project all the way through. Don't mis it by any reason.

Going back to first hearing about the release of this album when Euge announced it on the Guitars and Saxes 2009 tour, I was very excited. Euge had slowly bacame one of my favorite acts in Smooth Jazz andI couldn't wait for another release. When he said the album would be a bit more laid back I admit I became worried; I'm a huge fan of both "Born 2 Groove" and "Mr. Groove" which are not laid back by any means. He has had some laid back hits such as the most recent "Slow Jam." My anticipation was still there and Euge did not disappoint.

The release is what I have come to expect from Euge: excellent production, funky grooves, and masterful sax playing. "Get Ready" is the perfect way to start the album as it's just a wonderful melody. It's a nice introduction to this album as it's a mixture of several styles that you see ont he album. The vocals on Euge's albums have always been hit and miss with me but "Yes" is delightful and ranks up there as one of my favorite songs on the album. Great lyrics, wonderful production, and an awesome beat. "The Gospel Truth" is a moving, powerful song and it is the most unexpected treat on the album for me. I couldn't imagine a Sunday Morning album without this track. Great, great song. "Babylon," "On Your Knees," "All For You," and "As You Like It" are all upbeat chill songs that you can listen to no matter what mood you're in. "Say My Name" starts off with Euge's signature sax melody. This is probably the sassiest song on the album and it's very welcome from me.

The reason I'm giving this album 4 stars instead of 5 is because of what I feel is a weak title track. The song just doesn't fit in with the theme of the rest of the album and sticks out like a sore thumb. It's not a bad song by any means but it is probably my least favorite on the entire album. Overall, I recommend this album to any Euge fan for sure and for Smooth Jazz fans to give it a serious look.
