Great ongoing series of the fearless Captain Ridge Creek. This one has a more amusing feel to it along with the standard dose of shootouts with outlaws and Comanche. Confrontations on this Texas Rangers adventures along the southern stretches of 1860’s Texas. A good historical outline of Texas before, during and after the Civil War and the lawlessness that was abundant in the state during that period. The author pays great attention to detail throughout the book. Making it a fun read and historically educational at the same time
The poor grammar, badly formed sentences, the continual use of gerunds instead of the correct verb form, and, my biggest irritation, the use of parameter when he means perimeter, kept me from focusing on the story.
or lack of proofreading. Someone that enjoys Texas Ranger stories with a dose of Texas "history" will enjoy this "adventure" more than I did.
