These plugs are great. I was able to salvage my old panels, which I thought I would have to replace. My panels have smaller diameter tubes than these plugs were designed for, but I just cut off the large end and they worked fine (took some trial and error to find the right length to cut them.)

I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the age of the solar panels, but they didn't stop the leaks. I even tried putting a third one in coted with waterproof glue and it still leaked pass the plugs.

The problem may not be with the plugs but rather with Amazon for not stating that there are two different sizes and these DO NOT fit many Fafco panels. They are too small. If you do not know the name of your panel i.e sungrabber or sunsaver, look at the reviews to get an idea which you should order. I had a 50-50 chance, I guess and got it wrong.

I used these panels for over ten years. At first I though my problems where do to improper installation. However after going through 16 panels in 10 years I'm convinced the panels are at fault. I tried to file a warranty claim and was told that the leak was caused by freeze damage. Really freeze damage? Folks I live in southern California. I doubt if we have had a hard freeze in 25 years.
these panels will leak from the lower seam, the 3rd or forth row from the top or bottom depending on how you installed them. I had one strap fail on on set of panels in a 15 MPH wind and the panel split in 4 places very near to where I would always get leaks. coincidence I don't think so. every season I have to fix at

least 3 to 5 leaks in my 6 panel set. My latest set lasted only 2 seasons before leaking.

Fixed the leak. Took my husband a short time to repair. The plugs do the trick and instructions are very good!

These plugs were horrible. They did not work like they were suppose to. I turned a very tiny leak into a large leak causing me to replace the whole panel for one of my customers. I would never by this product again

An all year round saver for my Florida pool. To the point, great product! Just review and plan out your repair. Product seemed flimsy at first but understood it's purpose while using it for the repair. Now I'll save hundreds each year in water bills from private water company and it keeps the kids in the pool. Thanks for this product.
