I love the 7 lb version of the sniper, as it seems to fit a previously unfilled niche for several techniques. I have never been a huge fan of using fluoro unless I absolutely have to (which would be in gin clear water conditions), but I do keep at least one rod spooled with 7 lb sniper all the time now. It does have some tendencies associated with fluorocarbon stereotypes, but this line is a massive improvement over some of the cheaper fluoro lines I had previously fished (such as Vanish and P-Line). This line will twist on the spool, but as long as you let it out beforehand and use some of the preventative techniques associated with fishing fluoro, this line really does perform well. (With that being said, if you simply spool this on a spinning reel, head out, and start chunking lures, you will hate this stuff. For those not familiar with fluorocarbon, I recommend some quick internet research for fluorocarbon handling techniques and hook tying methods, as well.) I have fished lipless crankbaits on this line, and have been very surprised at the durability of such a small diameter line (even holding up to the punishment of some pretty big smallies). Works great for Crappie in certain conditions, as well.

This line is great. Easy to tie knots, very strong, durable, and fished my best outing of my life with it so far. Not to give all the credit to the line. But fisherman have superstitions as well. I have 3 rods all lines with this stuff and since I have spooled my reels with it, I catch fish like its nothing. besides the fish barely being able to see it, its just great to cast with. No backlashes, no tangles, just great stuff.

I've tried quite a few fluoros over the years, this one's my favorite. The main reason is it's castabilty. This stuff isn't as stiff as most I've tried. It lays on the spool good and casts well. If your new to fluorocarbon you'll find that you need to manage your line better than with mono. You need to stay on top of line twist and tighten line on spinning reel once in a while. But if your willing to do a lil extra work that it requires, you'll catch more fish in clear water with it. Tight Lines!

Line has good strength but is prone to tangles when throwing/retrieving lures. I run the line out when underway in my boat without any weight and reel it in to help reduce the spin on the line with each outing.

Bought this line for the first time about 6 months ago from a local "Very Talented Bass Fisherman" that happened to open a bait shop. Couldn't believe how expensive it is just for a filler spool but was having problems with other flourocarbon lines in the 16-17 lb class breaking just when trying to tie a knot...no brand names here! Couldn't believe how sensitive and yet strong the 16 lb was and it casted like 10 lb line. Used on my worm rig until I had broke off enough to need to respool. The bigger spool allows for less waste in the end because the 200 yard spool leaves a bunch of unusable each time you reline.

This is an awesome flouro line. I'm an avid fisherman. I've tried tons of flourocarbon but this one far surpasses all the others in every category from break strength to abrasion resistance. Very happy to see Amazon sells it!

Of all the lines i have tried Sunline is the best in my opinion. It's not the strongest line on the planet, but put sunline and almost any other castable fluorocarbon of the same # test side by side and there is an immediate difference in linesize. The strength is good enough. I've boat flipped 3lb smallies on 5lb Sniper (don't recommend that) in a tournament where we lost our net while my partner screamed "what is wrong with you? 5lb test is gonna break!!" The same line was tied on when I was in a hurry to land a 5th fish and actually broke my Gamakatsu TGW dropshot hook and lost the fish. You'd think the line would break before a light wire hook!??!?!

I've switched from another leading brand flourocarbon to Sunline, and It has far out performed the comparable line from the other guys. It's strong, thin, and supple.
