light is bright enough. it has 1 constant on and 3 different flash on options.
the light snaps firmly into place on bracket and i have no fear of it being dislodged by anything short of direct impact with the light.
the attribute that drew me to choose this light over the others is the combining of the light with a reflector. the outer sections of the light are reflectors. which are required by most local regulations regardless if u have a rear light or not. combining the two makes compliance easier.
the one thing i took issue with was the position of the on/off button. with the light facing u, the button is to the bottom left on the back side of the light. combined with the design of the bracket. the button ends up right in front of the rack frame when using the two horizontal mounting holes.(which is optimal)
as shown in the pics i included . i used the vertical mounting holes which places button just below the rack frame. all has worked out for now. the fact that others have mentioned the button ending up in an awkward position to access gives me pause when thinking the awkward position is just a coincidence.
having a work a round for the issue makes this taillight worth keeping. and worth the money.
i would recommend this product with a note to pay attn to the positioning.

It's not as bright as the "superflash" type tail lights. It wouldn't be that easily seen during the day, for example. But if you're less hardcore and mostly want it for when it's dark, this is excellent. It has a couple different flash modes as well as steady on.
-1 star for placing the button on the back of the unit, where it is not easily pressed, once mounted. Someone just did a lazy redesign of other tail lights instead of changing the mold of the main outer cover to have the button conveniently placed.
I can still turn it on and off, but I can only get the button with the tip of my finger; it's just not very conveniently located.
It is mounted to a Bontrager heavy duty rack.

This has a horrible design for connecting the light to the bracket. The light slides onto the bracket. Seems alright at first. But, you hit one bump while riding your bike and it goes flying off the bracket. It happened to me twice in the first two days of using the light. I'm riding on roads so they were not huge bumps that sent the light flying off the bracket. I used double sided tape to keep the light on the bracket.
I will say the light is not the brightest light. But, it does do the job. Don't purchase this light if you are looking for a real bright light.
Other than the design issue and the brightness issue, it is a good light for the money. It was easy to install. Considering it came off during rides twice, it is definitely durable. The light didn't break when hitting pavement.

This tail light fits the bracket on the back of my rear rack securely. So many of the tail lights here on Amazon are made to strap on the seat post. This won't work for me as I often have things on my rear rack. This one sits behind all that. It is fine for riding at night, which I often do, but it is not bright enough to be seen in the day.
I appreciate the choice of patterns from full-time to various patterns of blinking. I have only had it about a month so I can't report on battery life. It uses standard size rather than the coin style so they are reasonable to replace. It has held well so far and has not come apart like tail lights I have owned previously.
All in all, a good choice for night riding.

This light does everything it promises for the price. Its bright enough (I've seen brighter lights), the various modes are a nice touch, and it doesn't eat batteries. I use the light most days and I am always surprise at how long I go in between replacing them. for the price, its a nice light that should suit the average rider. My only complaint is that I have had it stuck on due to water getting inside. It has a gasket around the battery compartment, but it seems that water penetrated the housing where the button is. I'm a year round commuter and ride in all sorts of weather in Upstate New York. Wind, rain, snow, heat we have it all. Last winter my light was stuck on and then non-functioning for two-three weeks due to rain, snow, or road salt - who knows. The button wasn't responding at all. I had to remove the batteries to get it to turn off. It eventually dried out and went back to normal operation, but it's not truly weatherproof. It's never been submerged, but heavy downpours, puddle splashes, road salt will penetrate this light. But, it's back to normal operation so I'd say its resilient!

I wasn’t sure if this was a universal mount but I decided to pick this one up in case it was a size specific mount. Luckily, it wasn’t. And even better, it has a reflector and a light together. The install was fairly straightforward. I apparently lucked out and the lights button actually sits below my rack cross brace so I can turn the light on with my finger easily.
Installation was easy when it came to locking the light in. Slide it down until you hear a nice click. Once that occurs the light should be rock solid. Also recommend the washers and lock washers for install just so the hardware doesn’t back out from vibrations.
Overall I’m already super pleased with this.

I’ve been searching for a rack mount rear light for a long time for my Felt MP cruiser. I used to run one on the seat post until I modded a basket on to the top of the rack. I decided to look around for something that would match the holes on the rear of my pre-installed rack.

Perfect fit
Reviewed in Canada on October 10, 2020Verified Purchase
When installed correctly this is a perfect fit for the Ibera PakRak IB-RA5 Touring Plus Bicycle Carrier. I am very happy with this product.
Update: I purchased another for second bike with the same rack. This light, however, is a different shape than the first one I purchased, and, this puts the switch in a less accessible (but still usable) position.
Still an excellent product.

Liked: good looks, robust design, light bright, easy to fit, and reliable.
Improvements: slightly hard to change the battery as the carrier on my Electra Cruiser slightly obstructs the slot to open the light - but a minor issue.
