I would recommend this lever to a friend.
Trying to operate the front and rear brakes independently with the clutch was incredibly difficult, this has proved to be a much better solution.
With that being said... If you are installing this on a motorized bicycle, I am assuming you have some sort of mechanical inclination, be sure that you understand how brakes work!
I made the mistake of throwing this on and assuming that everything would work the exact same, they do not! Using this product, you lose the ability to independently control the brakes (obviously), however if you are an experienced biker your muscle memory will cause you to want to apply the rear brakes individually when you are, for example, turning. YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT IF YOU DO THAT NOW YOUR BIKE WILL BEHAVE DIFFERENTLY THAN IT USED TO!
I cannot stress that point enough! I nearly took a nasty spill when I was turning at a speed that was slower than I would normally be going because my natural inclination was to apply to rear brake to help stabilize the bike during the turn.
Equally as important, make sure that you readjust everything once you finish installing this! This did slightly throw off something in my brakes and on my first ride I was getting the most horrible chatter. For the love of god, if you hear an unusual sound, do not ignore it. If you are installing this make sure you have enough time! I started installing it and had to leave 20 minutes later and so I ended up testing this on a commute to school.
I did make it to campus safe and sound but when I got there I realized that the front brakes were no longer fully engaging, so if I fully pulled the lever, the rear brakes would lock and the front would be lightly touching the wheel. Not a good situation to be in if you needed to stop quickly!
But this is well built and it incredibly handy, its fairly sturdily built too. You are much more likely to fall victim to your own ignorance than the part itself physically failing.
