I hung my hammock too high, I think. If you hang it at a normal height then you will find that the edge of the hammock is kind of sharp. That's fine if you're wearing blue jeans, which I don't advice because of the grommets, but if you have shorts on or bare flesh touches the edge as you're getting in, man that thin thread is kind of sharp. Not that I've ever been cut, but if you hang your leg over the edge it can cut off your circulation.
the hammock is well large. It's about 12-13' long and I, a 5'9" guy, can lay lengthwise across it if I so choose...not that I would ever want to really do that. The Dangerously Comfortable position is quite nice in this hammock. That said, it's difficult for me to well assess as my hammock arrived tangled, I think, because the tension has always been uneven across it; the sides definitely have less tension than the middle, and it makes laying slightly awkward. I'm not sure if hammocks are supposed to be like this; I have never been in a hammock prior. It's mostly comfortable, but is a little bit like laying across the top of a pipe.
Overall it's comfortable for occasional use, but I couldn't use it every day nor for any extended length of time.
I use it by myself, I’m not particularly a family sized person, but I use this as a bed.
I can lay in it any direction and there’s much greater than 6’ in any direction.
It stretches and conforms to any shape.
Very comfy. Time will see how it holds up.
I dock a star because of some random strings/threads of different colors I had to pick out. And also because there are random intermittent knots.
