Total piece of junk

This item is a total piece of junk plastic. It should be included with a child’s inflatable pool or sold in the dollar store. I got beat for the $15.95 I paid and if I weren’t so lazy, I would send it back, instead, it’s thrown into the corner of my shed. Don’t buy this product if you want a pool skimmer net that you could depend on.

Standard mesh, not good for fine particles

The review stating that it gets fine particles is inaccurate. This has the same “fine” mesh as my regular pool skimmer. It’s also much smaller. It’s cheap so I’ll keep it, but is ultimately not what you want if you’ve got stuff like pollen or gnats that like to float on the water surface.

Wow is the plastic ever cheap and brittle! This thing feels so flimsy, I don’t think it will last long. Def not “heavy duty”!!! It’s also really small. Stay clear from this.

it was nice but it was 15.00 dollars at amazon and to thin for my pole. went to the local pool place here and found one that fit for 7.50! glad it didn't fit my pole , found it for 1/2 price at the local pool place

Webbing separated and pulled from rim

I didn't realize it didn't have a handle, even though I should have. But the main thing that bothered me was the webbing pulled apart leaving nickel and quarter size holes, and pulled away from the rim.

Product is constructed of cheap plastic. I paid $16. The kind of plastic that cracks and shatters with little weathering. I paid far too much for this kind of construction.

I would say that $5 and free shipping would be a correct price and is good for mild climates and use in a kiddie pool. It would make a great kids toy, so that your child can copy you cleaning the pool with real equipment.

I don't see it lasting very long and will do what I can to keep it from the elements and baby it. If I can get 1 full season out of it, I will be surprised.

Pool Leaf Skimmer

I have to admit, this is better than the one I bought at a local home do it yourself store awhile back. The problem with the older one was the mesh was so tight it would not allow the water to pass through as you were gathering up leaves and debris on the pool surface. You learn real quick how to maneuver the debris and then get it out of the pool before the oncoming pressure wave of water would push it aside.
The current one I bought has a larger mesh and it works a lot better. The structure is a little flimsy but I knew that going in and for less than five dollars, you cannot expect a metal framed unit like a Hayward of years ago.
It does the job and when the mesh punches through in time, go get another one.
No photo, it's just a leaf skimmer and it fits any standard swimming pool vacuum pole. Remember to remove from pole when finished; if you lay it on something other than a flat surface or horizontal wall hooks, the hoop that encompasses the mesh will take a set to whatever angle you rested it on. It will eventually spring back to the original flat shape but I avoid that by putting it in my deck box. The older style from Hayward and all the established pool suppliers of years gone bye had a metal hoop in the makeup of the unit, newer ones are all plastic so they bend easy.
