From the Back Cover
Dashing, decadent, and deliciously seductive, the notorious Lords of Vice indulge their every desire―from dusk until dawn…
FOREVER THE BACHELOR
Christopher Courtland, Earl of Vanewright―known around London as "Vane"―is the very picture of a rich, handsome ladies' man. Why shackle himself to just one lady when he's free to sample them all? In spite of his own mother's attempts at matchmaking, Vane has sworn to stay single. Until he has a chance run-in with Miss Isabel Thorne…
NEVER IN LOVE―UNTIL NOW…
A modest and refined beauty, Isabel is a lot more brazen than she appears. When a pickpocket tries to make away with Vane's bejeweled snuffbox, Isabel attempts to thwart his escape…and manages to steal Vane's heart. But the harder he tries to seduce the sharp-tongued, strong-willed Isabel, the more she resists. Now it's up to this tried-and-true bachelor to find a new way to play the game…or risk losing the one woman who's ever captured his heart.

If you have been following the series you would know that Christopher Courtland, the Earl of Vanewright has been trying to avoid his mother's machination to marry him off. However, his mother has come up a foolproof plan. What can go wrong?
This time his mother has found two delightful girls who might make the perfect bride for her Christopher. The only problem is getting them to London. So, basically she gets them to partake in the season. Lady Netherly told Isabel she wanted to set up Vane with her sister Delia. Thinking what is best for the family, Isabel agrees to Lady Netherly's plan. However, it doesn't go according to plan? Or is that what they are suppose to believe.
At the beginning of the story, I remember the reason why the story wasn't my favorite. I couldn't stand Delia for being the self-absorbed girl that everyone loves. Trust me she is self-absorbed, and that's being nice. While Isabel is trying to keep the family afloat. So, much responsibility is thrown on to Isabel, because she can't count on her mother. However, that is a personal reason and it shouldn't stop you from checking out the book for yourself.
After re-reading the book, the story grew on me a little more. It's just as good as the others. Still not my top pick out of the series, but I gave it a second chance and I would re-read again. I still love the series. This book might worm its way up the ladder, but it might take sometime.
That's all for now and I hope that you are enjoying what your reading. In the next couple of days you will be seeing Saint's story. So long and happy reading.
I also love that these tough guys unknowingly show their brotherly love and bonds with one another by looking out for each other and fighting protectively together against each other's enemies! All while wearing their bad boy images like a protective shield against love.
Great story!! I can't wait for Saint's story.
I couldn't say that this book was bad and at the same time I did not enjoy it. I don't like it when characters are carried along by other people's machinations and choices - as if they can only react to the people around them instead of doing what they want on their own.
Isabel was a little too forgiving of her EXTREMEMLY bratty sister and too understanding of Vane's explanations as well. I don't understand when characters allow "indiscretions" to occur when the other person might marry another sibling or relative. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Overall, not happy with this book - but that had to do with the characters, not the writing.
Alexandra Hawkins is good. If she wasn't, we wouldn't be so disappointed nor would readers still be anticipating new releases from this series.
There are three books left and I think we all know that Frost's book will be last. I fervently hope that Hawkins does not disappoint us with Saint and Hunter's book because the eagerness and excitement over Frost's book is quite high. I would not want to be bitterly disappointed with the final novel. I anxiously await the other three books and hope that Hawkins will delight us with the stories of the other Lords of Vice.
