About the Author
Back in toaster pastry time, at one of the schools that I landed in for a few more months, a teacher said to me, “You could write a story as well as read one.” That was the start for me. I've been a school bum, spending more of my elementary years out of the classroom then in. I graduated high school, skipping the graduation ceremony, then sat in some university seats for a few years. I am a gardener but not a Master Gardener. I am a poet but not a certified, degreed poet. I traveled through Iowa, not stopping even for a burger. I do have a certificate in Veterinarian Assistant but found that to be more of a burden than a help. I generally allow my work to stand up and speak for itself. Currently I am stationed in the arid side of Washington state. I am a co-CEO of a small holding. I care for various birds, a burro, gardens. My husband and I take prybars to rocks in the garden and hope for rain. And sometimes poetry worms its way out of those rocks and sagebrush. Imagery never leaves my side. Bast, the cat Goddess, reigns, clawing poetic snippets out when I'd rather She left me alone.

I wouldn't say you are a novice poet! Very talented. Keep writing and get those thoughts down on paper while out in your yard, Sure reflective of the time you spend outside and that with your critters.
