Life long friendships were formed during childhood when Jamie, Tony, Jenna, Bella, Amy & Leanna would come to the Cape with their family to Seaside for the summer. Over the last few summers, Leanna, Bella & Jenna have found their true love. This summer it's Jamie's turn.
New to Seaside is Jessica Ayers, Cello player on hiatus from the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Jessica has taken the summer off to decide what she wants to do with her life. After years of living a very solitary life as she follows her mother's dreams for her life, Jessica decides to try and live a "normal" life for the summer.
Jamie has spent the last 8 years building an internet empire and decides to spend the whole summer at Seaside with his grandmother, Vera who raised him after his parents were killed when he was a child.
As Jessica discovers who she really is, Jamie is learning to let go of the pain from the past. With lots of friendship, fun, sand and sun, Jamie and Jesica fall for each other. But the summer is not without heartache. Through a misunderstanding, Jamie breaks Jessica's heart, only to realize that he needed to let go of the fear and trust his heart. Jamie decides that there is nothing that he wouldn't do to get Jessica back.
This is the latest addition to the Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers. This book can be read as a stand alone, but I know you will also enjoy the other books in the series.
Addison Cole gives us a whole lot of Sweet with a little bit of heat.
Jessica and Jamie have successful careers but both have that something missing that stops them leading a fully content and happy life. The sizzling chemistry between them pops off the page from the moment their paths cross (in a rather unique way) and their connection only continues to deepen as they grow closer. The sub-characters of the other familiar seaside residents really helped explore Jessica’s character in varying ways, while Jamie’s relationship with his grandmother, Vera, will have you swooning at his sweet side.
As a huge fan of this series, I can easily say Addison Cole is the queen of saucy! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series and highly recommend!
