Excellent value for money. I work in commercial industrial A/C and megging out motors is something I do on a regular basis.
This thing is fairly accurate, I've tested it alongside a $1500 AEMC unit and it worked just fine. I wouldn't recommend it on stuff much bigger than 25hp. It's simply not precise enough to keep a trending log.

However for small compressors, blower motors, etc, it works great. It's also good for testing wiring inside units for those "intermittent" electrical issues we love to run across.

Downside, the leads are far too short.

This a great tool for any technician who has to test motors, refrigerant compressors, etc Small and light enough to be always carried in your tool bag, easy to use.
Only complaint would be that the leads are short, another 6 inches wiuld have been nice.

I had many meggers in my life. This Supco Digital is reasonably priced but does a excellent job. The LED system makes it much easier to use..Highly recommend.

The reality is you either get this or the $600 fluke. Everything else is a waste of money. This will give you a good enough idea if a small motor has bad windings. That's it. The fluke will tell you the exact resistant value for the motor or the entire system which means you can track down a bad motor in a system full of motors. Pay for what you get. I have both I use this one more, especially when no heavy troubleshooting is needed.

This meter is working out fine for checking compressors in refrigerator 's . I do appliance repair so it is just what I need for checking washer / dryer /frig/freezers .it a good tool And will be using it a lot. It is easy to use and I can. Show my customer the results right on the meter so they can see what I know what I'm talking about when I tell them the motor is failed or going bad .it LSO helps me look more professional.

Inexpensive megger at $100, it works and gives a very definitive insulation test. My concern with this tool is over the quality of the alligator clips/leads, they are really cheap, I can already tell the leads are going to fail long before anything else does. Other than that it gets the job done.

Delivered on time (very early actually) in great condition. Works like a charm. Smooth transaction. If you're in need of a reliable Megger this is it. I work in automation and this little megger works great for troubleshooting motors and circuitry. Has already paid for itself. ONLY shortcoming I can find is the leads are a little short (IMHO) but don't let that stop you. I knew this was a keeper the first time I used it.
