The true Super Turbo 1000watt Elite Scooter from Super Cycles and Scooters is back in stock. Now has an Econo/Turbo Mode Button. Attention Amazon Customers. There is a company trying to steal our name brand on this great product by selling a cheaper lower quality version of this scooter, but with the same name. If it's not from Super Cycles and Scooters it's not the real SUPER TURBO 1000-ELITE. We are currently seeking legal action against them to prevent them from ruining our good name.. We guarantee that this scooter is more powerful then any 1000watt scooter on the market because our motor is a true 1000watt as where other companies exaggerate their motor wattage and we do not. The latest model now uses deep cell lead acid batteries for an even longer run time per charge. We guarantee these batteries hold a charge longer then any other lead acid battery available. We are also giving our customers exclusive access to our \"How Videos\" such as: \"How to change the tube in your tire if you get a flat\", How to govern or slow down the Turbo 1000-Elite for kids\" and many more Comparing this scooter to the competition: The Super Turbo 1000-Elite may look similar to our competition. GREAT SCOOTER. Great build quality. I'm over here for 15 months so I hope it lasts that long.
As other reviewers have noted here, this thing is fast and long-ranged. I can usually get 12-13 miles out of it with a mixture of turbo and economy mode on fairly hilly terrain. The one downside to electric scooters in general is the charging time. It takes 7-8 hours for a fully drained battery to charge.
This scooter is also easy to handle. My 11-year-old son has put 200-300 miles on his without incident. It's also pretty safe given how low it is to the ground. I've fallen off the thing going full tilt downhill (after popping a tube on a nail) and not been seriously injured.
Finally, it's easy to maintain. Super Cycles and Scooters has a great website with easy-to-follow videos explaining how to fix just about anything that can wrong with the scooter. Their website also sells all of the parts you could ever want at a reasonable price. And if you have any questions, either the owner or one of his employees are happy to help.
I got this scooter (with extra brake light and "hill kit" accessory) to replace the one I was using to get to work and back. Where I live (Lewiston, ID), there is a preponderance of hills. The old scooter just couldn't hack it...one hill over 1% grade, and the circuit breaker would pop. Forget about going home...I ended up walking most of the time. I needed a scooter with a 500+ watt electric motor in it, so I checked Amazon, and found quite a few with 500+ watt motors (750 watt, 800 watt, 1000 watt, etc.), but I wanted something I could easily afford that wouldn't break the bank. This particular scooter, with the listed accessories, just fit my budget, so I ordered it. A few days later, it arrived. My nephew helped me put it together, then I put the charger on it overnight. Next day, down the street I went to work. I used my GPS to measure the speed, and I was going about 20 MPH downhill with turbo mode on (turbo mode off reduced my speed to about 15 MPH). Not bad...the old scooter went about 15 MPH on full-bore. So, I put in my day at work, then the real test came when I headed home. It handled the smaller hills without a problem...although one in particular was rather steep and required a little assistance (the patented "Fred Flintstone" gear :D ). Going uphill, the scooter was moving at about 15 MPH with the turbo mode on.
Overall, not too shabby. It may be a bit expensive for those of you on a far more limited budget (scrimp and save, folks! In this terrible economy, you may find yourselves in my position sometime...no car, but needing to get to work any way possible), but for good, clean fun (emphasis on clean, as it *is* electric!), this scooter can't be beat.
The scooter is fairly adult sized, I weigh 230 and it carries me fine to work. I don't use it for anything recreational though.
