Was very fortunate to find these just before covid because I was getting regular B12 shots but I started taking these twice a day and then when the lockdown happened, I couldn’t get the shots BUT, after a couple of months, I realized I was no longer getting brain fog! I was impressed to see the quality of the ingredients, both the type included (methylated body-ready vitamins that will actually be properly processed in your body) and the amounts included.

Rarely have I seen a B complex with EXACTLY the right dose of B12 (900mg) and folate (400mg) to work for me.

I recently found out (through DNA testing via 23andMe) that I have a very common genetic mutation called MTHFR which, amongst other things, means I cannot process folic acid (the synthetic version of folate) and can cause problems with energy production and my body’s natural detoxing.

For people with MTHFR taking the synthetic version is not an option as it has the potential to build up and cause serious illness. If you haven’t been tested, take a test or opt only for folate (aka Quatrefolic / methylfolate / 5-MTHF).

MY EXPERIENCE

I have been struggling with a severe lack of energy over the last year, and folate was certainly part of the problem (low on blood test).

These tablets have helped greatly with gradually increasing and maintaining my energy without any unpleasant buzz or anxiety. They’re easy to take, just 2 tiny tablets a day (at breakfast & lunch).

It’s great that it’s a divided dose because B vitamins are water soluble so you need a steady supply to maintain balance throughout the day.

My folate blood test is now at a good level but I shall continue for a while longer as when I tried coming off them I was very tired after only 4 days without them.

EXTRA SUPPLEMENTS I CURRENTLY TAKE:

Vitamin C / Pantothenic acid / Zinc / Magnesium

I have tried many forms of vitamin B complex and, in my view, this is the best. It contains all the B vitamins one needs in safe forms (and doses), such as Methylcobalamin and folate instead of the cheap varieties of cyanocobalamin and folic acid. Also vitamin E is there too which does an excellent job in running repairs to tissues within the body as well as stimulating and refreshing the immune system. Also contains vitamin C which, in my view, helps to clear the plaque from brain cells. I have lost count as to how many times I have reordered this product. I would not change to any other.

This supplement made a amazing difference to my cognitive state - a vast improvement. I became much more focused, less clumsy and absent-minded and spaced out. My short-term memory got better. I was more coordinated and logical. Suddenly I was feeling much more intellectually on top of my game, after taking it for a couple of weeks. And my energy levels became more steady. I felt more confident and in control - just clearer-headed, I suppose! I would definitely recommend it if you’re experiencing brain fog, or you’ve been feeling more stupid than usual. I had been, for quite a long time.

My folic acid levels had been at the very bottom of the ‘normal’ range, and my vitamin B12 had been low ‘normal’; in some countries I would be considered deficient. I haven’t had my levels tested, but I suspect they improved, as I really saw a difference. I have been on medications that can deplete B vitamins over time, for years, so it was probably quite necessary for me anyway. I understand that this supplement provides the vitamins in a format that is easier for the body to process, so that seems helpful.

My only problem is that I can only take half a pill a day, with lots of fluids; otherwise I get acne. But that is not the fault of this particular supplement, as I always seem to have that problem with vitamin B12 and biotin supplements, annoyingly!

Taking a full pill a day makes my mind feel really, really ‘together’, though. It’s quite empowering!

Vitamins that actually work

I will shortly be ordering my 5th bottle of this B complex, so I feel qualified to leave a review on their efficacy. After years of undiagnosed deficiencies, stress and pregnancy/breastfeeding, I have been left with a plethora of distressing symptoms. Severe headaches, muscular pain, depression, nausea, insomnia, night sweats, and a seeming inability to get warm. I had numerous tests from my GP, with nothing apparently wrong with me. The only abnormalities I could find were borderline low B12, B9 and low-ish electrolytes.

After introducing magnesium and vitamin C, things did improve slightly. However, it wasn't until I started taking this B complex that I noticed a dramatic improvement in my symptoms. I used to go to bed fully clothed, with 2 duvets and an extra blanket. My daughter used to laugh at me. I am amazed when I think about it, but I was so used to feeling cold that it became normal for me. Within 2 months of taking this supplement, and I was wearing regular PJ's and just the 2 duvets (haha). A few weeks later, the top duvet went. 4 months in, and my temperature at night has completely normalised. Bear in mind that I started taking these b vits in October, and it is now mid-February. As the nights got progressively colder, I was using less covers! Just amazing.

As for my other symptoms, the headaches, nausea and insomnia have also improved dramatically. However, I do believe the magnesium and high-strength C have also had an effect on these symptoms. I will continue to take this combination of vitamins and minerals as I am convinced of the health improvements.

Purchased these for my mother after blood tests revealed low folate levels. Chose this brand as they are bio available forms especially important as you age . She only takes 1 instead of the advised 2 dose. After only a short time, they have made a difference to her cognitive state. Due to age she was starting to become confused.
