Luster Dust are NON-TOXIC and are ideal for use with gumpaste or rolled fondant. Intended for use in the dry form, they may also be mixed with oil-based flavorings or alcohol for painting and highlighting Luster Dust produces deep colors of varying hues with a metallic finish and offers a realistic look when brushed onto fondant/gumpaste, chocolate, pulled sugar/isomalt and more. For deeper colors: mix with alcohol or oil-based media and use as a paint or varnish. Luster Dusts render subtle colors with a glossy finish; they can be used alone or mixed with similarly colored matte dusts to add luster without lightening the shade. It's okay, but don't use it to make shimmery cocktails! It sticks together and just looks dirty instead of shimmery. The wilton brand doesn't do that, so I'd go for that kind if you want this for drinks. It's probably fine on cakes, though.
