Top Customer Reviews
This moss will last a LONG time without much attention.
The 8oz bag goes a long way and gives you a decent amount of moss. 2 oz bag would work great for medium/small terrariums.
Additionally ordered the Chartreuse because it was half off - this color was as pictured, with limited brown areas.
Sticks and debris
Initially ordered the Moss Green color (pictured). Was more yellowish than the picture provided by seller.
Large areas of brown moss in the bag toward the bottom/underneath what is pictured.
Overall Suggestion: It's worth your money if you buy any of the mosses that are dyed vibrant or darker hues (Fuchsia, Purple, Red, Forest Green, Royal Blue, obviously Brown etc). If you're going for more natural or lighter hues (Moss Green, Natural, Dusty Rose, Mango etc), you run the risk of visible brown moss. I got lucky with the amount of brown in my Chartreuse bag, but the few small areas that were brown were noticeable. I still would like to recommend the Chartreuse as I was overall happy with the quality, but can't guarantee there won't be more/less brown in your bag - just that it will obviously be visible on some colors more than others.
6 months later:
I wanted to add to my initial review. It has been over 6 months since I made the center pieces (a success, btw). We saved a few of the centerpieces, and the moss has dried out, though still remains puffy looking. I noticed that the moss that was in very sunny rooms actually turned slightly yellower. I tried misting it with water, which rehydrated the moss, however I cannot say with certainty that the color will be fully restored.
