Very interesting story arc. It's interesting to see what Dr Octopus does and how he handles being both spider man and peter parker. In some way he is a superior spiderman and parker. This arc also bring up some interesting philosophical questions as well.

I was a little skeptical of Otto Octavius becoming Spiderman at first, but I really enjoyed this book! Otto's sense of humor is a fun read once you get used to him. This is a more intense spiderman than some might be accustomed to, but it is a very interesting take on the character, and shows what Spiderman can do when he doesn't hold back. The artwork is good as well, and Otto's costume is very cool looking. Worth a superior 5 stars without a doubt.

Superior Spider-Man is one of my all-time favorite comics. Doc Ock's path to redemption was a compelling journey to read, and thanks to this collection I finally own the full series. Dan Slott, the writer on this collection, really stepped up his game when moving over to this series from his work on Amazing Spider-Man. The artists involved gave every issue a distinct style, while perfectly capturing the movement of Spidey. I already left a review for volume two of these Complete Collections, and really don't have anything else to say about it. It's a really great book and well worth the time.

This volume has great character development showing Otto Octavius struggling with his new identify. He tries to be better in every way than Peter Parker and fights his former enemies. However he keeps on struggling how to be a hero, trying to balance his life as a former villain and now a reformed person. The writing is excellent and the drawings are really good. My only criticism is how Peter Parker himself takes place in the story, but other than that I loved it.

I had largely fallen out of marvel comic books due to how convoluted their stories get. However this superior Spider-man comic has brought me back in. It's the best marvel comic I've read in years, if not a decade. The story concept might seem cheesy, but it's done very very well. In comic stories it can sometime be hard to get invested as you know the good guys will win the end. Despite this I found myself genuinely concerned for Peter and unable to put the book down to see what happens next.

The story is engaging, catches you off guard, and is expertly told. Watching Doc Ock get use to the new status quo, and how he slowly changes is a real treat. I am greatly looking forward to reading the 2nd part. Highly recommended.

I purchased this as a gift for my brother who loves Spider-Man and their description was "in Very Good Shape", after receiving the book is was damn near mint condition and I couldnt be happier buying a pre-owned book. I was worried it was going to have some wear and tear but it is super clean. Once I opened the package to inspect I promptly wrapped it back up. Their packaging was top notch.
