My two complaints are: 1) The Sur La Table label is stuck to the dish with a glue that needed soaking to remove it. 2.) Dimensions are unclear as the dish is narrower at the bottom than at the top. For the cooking area itself: The INSIDE BOTTOMof the dish is 14.5" L x 9"W x 3" deep. The INSIDE TOP of the dish is 16"L x 11"W x 3" deep. Overall OUTSIDE the dimensions are 20.25"L (includes handles) x 11"W x 3.5" deep. See photos.

Oh! This generous-sized casserole dish is gorgeous! It is heavy, but it is worth every ounce. But I must tell you the most amazing unexpected feature is that after baking and reheating a glazed ham several times, it had become blackened and seemingly stuck on. But as soon as I put the hot soapy sponge on to wash -- dreading the scrubbing I'd have to exert -- it slipped right off! I didn't have to scrub any part of it. It is a very beautiful piece to add to your kitchen, and it is a joy to use. I do not mind investing in quality because it will last a lifetime. I love it!
