In regards to the G2X Pro, I am extremely satisfied. The construction of this flashlight feels very sturdy, from its aluminum bezel to its polymer body. At first I was skeptical of the "plastic"; however, I soon discovered that it was made of superior materials and feels extremely solid in my hands.
The light projected from this small flashlight is astounding. Its low 15-lumen setting is perfect to use around the house, and its 200-lumen setting is extremely bright and far throwing. It illuminated an area roughly 75 yards long with ease. The high output setting's blinding ability is very useful and practical for self-defense. If shined in someones eyes at night or in a dark room it has the ability to temporarily bind them. ( I learned the hard way).
The click button on the end of the flashlight is very sturdy and stiff; requiring it to be pressed with authority to click it on. This is good in preventing accidental activation. The twist cap lock is also useful and effective. I carry mine without it locked since I keep in a flashlight holster.
In short, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a flashlight that can be used around the house, in the woods, on the streets, in the line of duty, and for self defense. I am happy with this product and encourage those who are interested to buy it.

Excellent flashlight either way.
This is an expensive flashlight. Surefire sells it on their site for $95. I understand how many people would think this is just way to much money for a flashlight. My response to that is you get what you pay for. I have gone through so many cheap flashlights over the years and they have their purposes, but when I'm in the woods or broken down on the side of the road I want something that I can count on. This flashlight is a convenient size, tough construction, light-weight, has an extremely long run-time (on low) and the ability to use a very high output level.
Stylistically, the flashlight is muted. It is a tool - not a toy car.
In addition to being a very powerful light, I love the design of the on-button. Clicking the button will lock the button on or off. The light alternates between high and low beam modes. The rear of the flashlight can be twisted to prevent accidental turn on.
The light can get very warm if left in high beam for too long.

I thought the case color would be brighter, it's kind of a mustard color. Still more visible than black on a dark night when you drop it on the ground. Read morePublished on March 25, 2014 by Alex LeCreuset
