Product Description

These forends replace the original factory forend of your shotgun and feature virtually indestructible compact LED heads with precision-molded Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lenses. These produce a tighter, farther-reaching beam than our reflector models but are still well-suited for close- to mid-range engagements. Our dedicated forends for shotguns and submachine guns are available with small but powerful LM1 compact LED head. The LM1 uses one 123A lithium battery and generates 100 lumens. Model 618LMG comes with Pressure pad, constant-on rocker and disable rocker.

I own several weaopon lights and this is by far the best and I will tell you why. First off, not only is this a quality surefire flashlight it is alson one of the best forends for a pump shotgun I have ever used. The forend its self is a well constructe and most importantly grips better then a Hogue grip. Also, the forend is extra fat for extra comfortable grip in your hand. Then you have the placeing of the switches, three to be exact. One long pressures sensitive grip on/off constant and a dsiable switch all perfectly located. The light is what you would expect from sure fire bright and brilliant as ever. If you were looking for a the ultimate shotgun weaponlight it's expensive compared to a tac star or fenix mount and pressure system but once you own it you will not want to use anything else! By the way amazon has this light miss labeled this is the 618lmg 200 lumen light not 100.

Solid, well built and fits perfectly. Evidently built to last and with attention to detail.

Not cheap by any means, but a tool one may need when failure is not, as the saying goes, an option. You get what you pay for, even though the materials themselves don't appear to fully justify the cost. They charge what they do because they can and nobody else has yet to challenge them. Given some truly equal competition & we may see a lower price, but for now I wasn't going to save $150 & get an inferior unit.

Not only an awesome forend but the light is super bright and the buttons are well placed and easy to use. The long pressure switch is a natural fit and the extra $$$ spent with this model is worth it, having the disable switch to avoid unwanted use, either tactically or in storage. With a medium to large hand the forend is a nice fit and with the embedded rubber-like grips there is no way my hands will slip; rain or dry. For those who know, yes, the 618 series is the 200 lumen model and not the 100 lumen 1 battery as described. Installation was a breeze, however I opted to utilize a UTG forend wrench tool and not the enclosed key/tool Surefire provided. The only drawback is the price, however, you get what you pay for and once you shoot with this baby you won't be dissapointed.

Pretty easy to install and very very bright. There is a piece of tape that is installed on the fore end that prevents the light from activating when you ready the weapon. I would suggest that you install it. I did not and when i grab the fore end the light automatically turns on.....not good if you want to maintain the element of surprise.

This is every bit as awesome as you want it to be. I suppose it could be a little lighter, but its durable as can be and is easy to handle. The light is blinding during the day, and to night adapted vision it takes about 6 or 7 seconds before the target would be able to see anything at all.The included metal bar to restrict use of the momentary on switch is pretty long. For this much money, they could have included a few different sized ones. Surefire is top of the line. Its also a bit too expensive

I bought one of these for my tactical R870. I like the functionality (rocker switches plus the pressure pad) and it's a robust unit. But... after about 500 rounds the unit started to become very loose on the weapon. Correcting this required a complete disassembly which was a pain in the proverbial nether regions - who wants downtime like this during training time? Or, even worse, in a real battle situation at night? On the positive side the light puts out a strong beam for close to medium work and I really like the new LED version - so much, in fact, that I spent the cash to upgrade my older unit which had a xenon-type bulb. I guess I'll treat this accessory rather like an old-style LandRover: tighten everything up after a few hours of use.
