From the Manufacturer
Dual temperature glue guns are ideal for crafts, floral and do it yourself projects as different projects work best with different glue temperatures. Unit features a high and low switch -the high temperature is for better bonding to metals, plastics and ceramic. Use low temperature for bonding delicate material such as lace, foil ribbon, floral form and lightweight fabric. Safer way of gluing. Temperature range of 250-DegreeF. and 380-DegreeF. (121-Degree Celsius and 193-Degree Celsius.). 40-Watt, 120-Volt. Uses Glue sticks of 7/16-Inch diameter and either 4-Inch or 10-Inch in length

Also, the sides of this gun gets very hot - very close to the trigger. I will be returning this item.
Very basic product. Seems sturdy enough. I wish I had done a little research. In hindsight, I might have purchased a ceramic gun. We'll see how/if this gun and glue system encourages me to use more hot glue. I purchased wood glue sticks as well - for immediate bonding. If it works as well as I hope, I will likely look for a more robust solution.
My only complaints (Applies to all glue guns as far as I know)
-Slow heat up ( 5 min +)
-One 4" stick is useless. You have to insert another stick to push on the lead stick. Keep a pencil handy to manually push. Stupid! Should be a one-handed tool under until ALL the glue is gone.
the glue gun accepts standard size diameter glue sticks, not the mini useless ones.
the one thing that really concerned me was the wire size of the ac cord, it is thin, lightweight, that I looked to see what gauge wire it is, it is 20AWG, for 40W it might be ok, but it's scary and borderline fire hazard. I've never seen any electrical cord with a wire size smaller than 16AWG (two sizes bigger than 20AWG) for use in an electrical appliance. the device is rated with UL, but not sure about the cord.
Does not work with sticks that was recommended with gun.
Gun does not work at all, does not push the glue out through the front.
Already packed and I am on travel at this time and I am unable to use and need. Hoping to possibly find one somewhere while I am on travel.
Very annoyed and disappointed.
*Lightweight, easy to operate.
*Wire stand keeps it from tipping over.
*Heats up quickly.
*It seems to work equally great on fabrics as well as wire branches (the latter require to be held in place a little longer until the glue sets).
*It did drip a tiny drop every time I put it down. I'm glad I had something to protect my table or it could've left a mark.
*The smell of hot glue is pretty nauseating so make sure to ventilate the room well.
