I was a floral designer for 10+ years: still do a lot of floral work for family, friends & church. I’ve had this glue gun for 33 years & it still works like the day I bought it. Sad that the Surebonder manufacturer no longer has this series. 😢

I was in need of a new glue gun and this one seemed to fit for price, performance and other reviews. All of which held true.

It does not drip and that is great, but also makes you unaware of when exactly it is 'ready'. With former guns seeing a drip or two made me know it was ready and this is something I was always prepared for and did not mind. A few years back I had a different gun that being a rush I squeezed a bit prior to it being completely ready, the trigger broke on me. At the time I ran to the store and bought another and made sure to wait from then on. Sure, I could have returned or exchanged it, but in all honesty it was My fault not a defect. Unfair in my opinion to hold that company liable for my mistake.

The tip is great, just don't touch it ! While I am sure this is quite obvious, some may still try ! Please do not let me mislead you, this is not for very fine, small or detailed projects, just a bit 'sharper' than some competing guns. Former ones that I have used as well as other still available have a small rubber sleeve around 90% of the tip, this one does not and that is excellent. Surely makes clean up of a bit of extra glue much easier.

After some research and reading reviews, I went with this glue gun. The biggest selling point to me was that the glue was not going to drip and make a mess. It is great for that. The only possible downfall is that it isn't perfect for small, detail oriented jobs. Over all, a great buy and would make the same decision again.

I read all the reviews below before I ordered this glue gun. The selling feature for me was the rate at which this gun will deliver hot glue and the fact it does not drip hot glue everywhere. 80watts will deliver all the glue you will ever need. I used this glue gun to repair a carpet seam via a tip method seen on Youtube. You just back up the split with regular carpet tape and then put down a load of hotmelt glue on the taps and pull the carpet seam back into place. Quick and clean way to fix a problem. The wimpy glue gun I had simply would not deliver enough glue to do this kind of project.

The gun heats up and delivers very hot glue in enough quantity to stay up with all the demands I have put on this tool. 5 stars from me on this glue gun.

Because my wife uses glue guns quite a lot but hadn't bought a new in quite some time, she asked me to research what was available. I spent some time reading the descriptions of most of the main glue guns available and then followed up by reading the reviews for each. This is the one I suggested to her and the one we bought. After using it for several months, she informed me that it has performed flawlessly. It has done everyting it was advertised to do. It heats much much quicker than any of the guns we've previously owned and dipenses the glue smoothly and uniformly.
We have no regrets about buying this glue gun and would buy it again if we needed another. At this point, it's the best we've ever owned, and give it a 2-thumbs-up recommendation.

A glue gun is really not all that complicated a device but for some reason most of them have problems. This one really works the way you would expect. It doesn't drip, it heats up reasonably fast, it delivers glue when you want it and it has a built in support stand. I have had this gun for a year and so far it has performed well and held up quite well under regular use.

I got this hot glue gun for a project involving 4 inch plastic sewer & drain pipe to make a dust collection system for my wood-working shop. I connected plastic-to-plastic and plastic-to-metal using the hot glue gun. It worked perfectly every time.

This hot glue gun is not for intricate projects, but works very well on medium to large projects because the glob of glue coming out is not tiny. The trigger is easy to use to control the amount of glue being dispensed. It does NOT drip glue from the tip when plugged in and lying on a tool bench.

There is no on-off switch, it is always heating while plugged in.
