The H is a play boy I guess (it’s unclear) and he has seen the h before and never noticed her then at a party he suddenly sees her...huh? Why? This is how this train wreck starts.
He doesn’t go after her when she leaves after they meet. Days pass when he decides ehh maybe I’ll go to town and see if I see her. Uhhh why not ask her patient your BFFs wife, for her number?
Then the book really takes a bigger plunge when the H does see her and it’s the first time they EVER talk and the H decides in two seconds she is too hot and cold with him and therefore he doesn’t wanna waste his time with her. What BS. Wish I stopped reading here. Of course the author had to throw in a strong independent DR female lead who is a total doormat for the men in her life. Uhhhhhggg. When the H decides he doesn’t wanna waste his time she yells says, “wait, I’ll do what ever you want.” Hard pass. This book was terrible. Don’t recommend even though it’s KU and short.
Surge (Easton) is a member of the Diablo Sinners. He remembers seeing Autumn but he can't exactly remember where.
Autumn was Bellamy's baby doctor from the first book. They became good friends. She's 31 years old.
Autumn is not close with her parents. They want her to get back together with her cheating ex-boyfriend Nathan. The only time they actually treated her decent was when she was dating him.
Surge finds out Autumn's name and where she works. He's determined she is the one for him. He just needs to convince her of that.
Then her parents show up with Nathan.
This was a decent book, just not enough details for me. I like more character development.
There is a "Ten Years Later" epilogue.
