Editorial Reviews

"Wellwritten, often poignant and surprisingly relatable."

"The metaphors andallusions don't make the text inaccessibly erudite, but instead illustrate thebeauty and struggle of her conversion."

"CarolynWeber is a formidable intellect and a sought after college professor, as wellas a great wife and mom. But what I love most about her is her heart, whichyou'll find on every page of this book. This is a journey worth taking, and as our guide, Carolyn is candid, insightful and charming."
--RandyAlcorn,Author of Heaven and If God is Good
"Surprisedby Oxford is a sprightlycontribution to the genre of spiritual memoirs in the vein of C.S. Lewis'sSurprised by Joy and Lauren F.Winner's Girl Meets God. Carolyn Weber is an unconventional thinker whose engagingly toldfaith journey will speak to folks who still believe that thoughtful peoplecannot be Christian."
--DrLyle W. Dorsett, Billy Graham Professor of Evangelism, Beeson Divinity School

"Surprised by Oxford is a three-dimensional love story... This funny, well-written,heart-warming memoir will give you fresh joy for the love that only thegrace of God can bring to life."
--Dr Philip Ryken, President, Wheaton College

"Carolyn Weber has penned a memoirfor the ages; a tale of learning, love and life. She didn't come to OxfordUniversity to think about God but in the end she discovered that He wasthinking about her and this reality changed her life. This is a terrific book;compelling, well written, and deeply meaningful."
--Dr Jim Belcher, Professor of Practical Theology, Knox Seminary andAuthor of Deep Church
