The Survival Tabs contain 100% of the U.S. RDA of 15 Essential Vitamins & Minerals. Made with the highest quality protein which is essential in survival situations where your body needs to assimilate as much as possible from what you eat.
Generally, of the food we eat, most is not absorbed as an effective use of calories . A calorie is basically a unit of energy that our bodies need to keep going. Our bodies use calories much like a car uses fuel. Because The Survival Tabs are 100% digestible and assimilated into your system, they use all of the calories to fuel your body. Combined with high-quality protein , fatty acids and carbohydrates, The Survival Tabs are an efficient means to nourish your body. The greatest possible nutrition in the smallest possible volume.
SHELF LIFE AND SUSTAINABILITY
We have samples of The Survival Tabs that were produced in 1974-75. They have been stored at room temperature. We test them periodically and have found little, if any, deterioration or loss of vitamin or food value. Our results showed negligible loss in these areas. Freezing temperatures will have no effect at all on these tablets. We would estimate the shelf-life is 25 years, but suggest rotating them to ensure maximum food value every 2-3 years.
NUTRITIONThe Survival Tabs contains: Fat 25%, Protein 9%, Carbohydrates 58%, Iron 18 mg. (as Ferrous Fumarate), other minerals, 2% (from milk solids), and the following vitamins in percentages shown of their USRDA adult allowance. There are approximately 20 calories in a 3.9 gram The Survival Tab.
- 4 x 24-tab pouch (Each pouch is 1 flavor: Butterscotch, Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate).
Top Customer Reviews
I wanted to really give these survival tabs a test so I next went on a 6 day camping trip and only used half the recommended number of tabs each day. (6 tabs instead of 12) Instead of taking a tab every hour I took a tab every other hour. I only noticed a little hunger starting to show on the 4th day, but I keep to my test. I was able to stay on the 6 tabs a day while still doing all of my camp chores and had plenty of energy.
I think every individual should have the 8 day supply of these survival tabs in their bug out bags because used as recommended they will have no problem feeling hungry of or a lack of energy and they can stretch the usage for up to 16 days if they feel the need. I also talked with one individual that went a full 30 days eating nothing but these survival tabs and other than loosing 15 pounds of body fat he had no problems at all. This is why I highly recommend this product to everyone I know.
At first I thought I got the wrong order since some bags had 12 tabs and some had 24- but it all evened out OK. The flavor is listed with the other info in the circles at the bottom of the bag- not really all that clear initially. The flavors are OK (I opened one of each in chocolate, strawberry, and butterscotch as these were in the 12 tab bags; the vanilla malt is in a 24 tab bag, and I didn't want to open that as I'm just wanting to know what to reorder). I didn't find them to be chalky, though they're not like other things I've eaten. They're easy on my teeth as well.
I prefer the chocolate and strawberry (which I'm reordering), but am pleased that in an emergency situation I'd be able to eat any of the flavors and be OK with them. They're lightweight, and great for bug out bags or just emergency rations for natural disasters. But consider the realistic needs you have when you order this product. 240 calories a day is simply not enough.
Con - I think that for conserving space, a roll of them would be more practical.
Con- WAY too low on the daily calories

Now note my rating, I'm not complaining, and I can't dispute the nutritional claims, as I have only just tried them to see what they are, and wanted to pass on what I found, since it didn't seem clear from my reading.
