Christine is a very good story teller and this book was no different! You will be hooked the moment you pick up this good read!!!!
Grant Anderson is an FBI Agent and from a very rich and philanthropic family. He is also working to bring down criminals and is after the same one as Kate.
When Kate and Grant are unknowingly brought together at the Summit between the Morgan and Anderson families will they put aside their past tension to work together when one member is killed? Will they be able to discover who is at the root of all the problems when it is clear that someone is trying to sway the balance between good and evil?
I really enjoyed this book with the touch of paranormal that really doesn't seem far fetched when you learn about the main characters of the story. The story is the basic concept of good and evil and how we maintain the equilibrium between the two, knowing sometimes you have players on each side that don't necessarily believe in the cause.
Kate Morgan is the black sheep of her family and does not agree with anything that they do. I loved the scenes between her and her mother as the relationship was filled with so much animosity and tension that the dialogue was extremely amusing. Almost right away you hated that side of the family with the exception of Julian and Jake Riley. Those two guys were great and I'd love for them to get their own books!!
Grant Anderson was a guy from your dreams! Tough and from a good family! I love how much he supported Kate and stood up for her when necessary with her family. He walked a fine line with Kate but wanted her no matter what anyone said!
I was definitely surprised when I discovered the identity of one of the people behind it all!
This was the first time I have read this author and it certainly will not be my last!
