I try to make my reviews engaging and useful. Please click helpful if you thought this review was worthwhile. Thanks!
The firestarter works well. I added a small velcro loop under the firestarter pocket. It keeps the firestarter cord secure and it is not secured in the knife loop, which I found to be annoying if I tried to draw the knife quickly. The knife is designed to have the firestarter and the knife handle both secured by the sheath's velcro loop. That means the firestarter gets caught up with the knife when you are drawing in a hurry. Not a great idea if you ask me.
To me this is a decent, low cost option for a spare knife.
Even though it's not what I thought I learned a lesson but it'll be good to have I think. it has a pretty decent serrated area too.
The cord is impressive so I can see why some re-wrap it. I'm not planning to, unless I'm hugely bored one day.
The sheath appears to be strong enough. Arrived today so time will tell.
If you want a Tanto knife I suppose the is good for a BoB and low price. If you're really into knives I'm sure there's a ton better.
