Since the picture was too small (no larger version was available) to tell with any certainty if there were 4 or 5 needles in the package, and the description was unclear, I hoped that there would be 5 and ordered this item. There are only 4 needles, which makes the increase in length over using a set of 5 7" needles trivial, and not worth the cost and trouble. I am returning these.
Reading the description again, this incomprehensible sentence (copied directly from the product page) might indicate that there are only 4, but the "4in" seemed to refer to the size of the pouch described, as far as I was concerned.
"the quicksilver 11 3 4x1 5 8x1 4in vinyl pouch can be used for storage."
The plastic is rather soft and the tips of the needles were bending when I did anything more ambitious than a knit or purl, like a K3Tog or a cable.
The only thing these would be good for is for a cable holder, but than at 10 inches, it was a bit big for that.

The wife said she has to have them, she does make some very nice things with them though.Published 19 months ago by Chris Cantello
Not bad as a needle just a bit less pointed as expected. Not much more to say except that they will do the job.Published on January 9, 2014 by helga lotito
I love these needles! They are made of some kind of plastic but have a little bit of give to them,so they are very comfortable to knit with. Read morePublished on January 20, 2013 by Carol
